Good location. Pleasant and helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Courtyard outside room with tables and overhead vines - nice ambience.

Refrigerator in room would have been useful, but not a major issue. Room was quite small but perfectly adequate for our needs.

Hotel was very cozy, staff was nice. We stayed just one night, which was too short. It had nice restaurant.

Room was pricey, but very basic. Not even a kettle inside, no chairs. Our room did not have its own table and chairs in the balcony outside, even thought other rooms had.

It was OK honey good but nothing exceptional.

Main meal me I did not really appeal to us . Not French enough.

Superb location- right in the heart of la couarde sur mer- which is close to all the restaurants and shops! Our bedroom was spacious and comfortable- soft sheets, and had a beautiful view directly of the Main Street- prefect for people watching!. The hotel has a small and beautiful court yard garden at the back. Excellent hosts and friendly staff who were all too pleased to help. Overall, we had a peaceful, lovely and enjoyable stay for two nights.

The breakfast was a very basic continental. We would have liked a bit more choice- but hey, the coffee and fresh orange juice was good! Perhaps, the rustic bathroom could have benefitted with a shower door and a better shower head.

There was no comfortable chair or tea/coffee making facility in the room. Although I had filtered breakfast included I was charged. Also I had filtered parking there was none!

Lovely little hotel in the centre of the old village. our room was large and very comfortable with a good terrace outside . The staff were charming and efficient. The evening bar with tapas was convivial and good value.

Lovely hotel. Well situated in the centre of La Couarde. Our room was spacious and very airy, well kitted out and with two separate beds (by prior arrangement) which isn’t that easy to get, surprisingly. Decoration was very tasteful and all very clean. Staff were very friendly and attentive, even remembering that my travel partner was ill and enquiring about him. Breakfast very nice: excellent bread and croissants and nice touches like choice of salted/unsalted Charente butter, freshly squeezed orange juice and Ile de Re honey.

On our second night we had difficulty sleeping because of noise from young people nearby until around 2.00am. This is clearly outside the hotel’s control but I might have asked for a room at the back of the place if I had suspected this could happen. Couarde is very civilised so I was surprised, in truth. Maybe we were just unlucky.

The staff were extremely helpful before our arrival, assisting us with dinner reservations. The hotel is in the centre of the town, walkable to lots of shops, restaurants, the beach - but is still very peaceful. The bed was extremely comfortable, one of the best hotel beds I've experienced in a while! We didn't partake of breakfast so can't comment on that but had a few drinks on the hotel's terrace which was lovely - wonderful atmosphere and brilliant staff.

The bathroom was due an update but it was still spotlessly clean and this did not impact our enjoyment in any way.

Excellent location in the heart of the village and 10 minutes walking distance to the beach. Good Continental Breakfast.

The Hotel is a old house and rooms in the back in a extension of the building. We stayed in a room at the front (in the old house). The street was quiet after 10pm but in the morning from 7am you can hear every single toilet flashing in the building and the water from the shower from all the rooms...Impossible to have a good sleep in the morning! Bar staff are brilliant but reception and management do not engage...

Very good location in the Middle of the village. Nickeltest decorated rooms. Nice patio for breakfast.

The only thing I missed was cheese or charcuterie for breakfast. They did serve freshly squeezed orange juice, yoghurt etc

Great central location and rooms set in lovely courtyard. Positive happy staff served excellent breakfast choice and you only pay for what you have. We were upgraded to the suite because somebody else wanted our superior double.

We don’t like walk-in showers because they always spread wet water over the bathroom floor so your feet are wet all the time unless the towels are used as mats. Fortunately the seperate toilet was dry

The hotel had a nice nautical theme and the room was spacious. The location was nice and only a 10 minute walk to the beach. The hotel was close to restaurants and shops. We only stayed for one night and were out most of the day so didn't use the hotel to the full extent. There was local parking very close and the staff were all very nice.
