Small room. But for someone who came to go around all day and just come in the room to rest was enough.

Clean rooms. Receptionist agreed to change room to more comfortable.

Poor sound isolation. You are at the battlefield between street and neighbours. Reception is closed half of the day. No shower accessories.

We really like our stay in Hostal Athenas! On the first place I recommend it because they offer cheap prices for location close to the metro (5 minutes walk), also it's close to supermarket, cafe and place for yummy breakfast. With the metro you can go to Sagrada Familia for 20 minutes. The hostel stuff everyday change the towels and make the beds, that it's super nice!!! Our last day they give us an option to use baggage storage that helps us a lot!!!

The accomodation was neat, our room was cleaned each day during our visit and they even provided clean towels every day. The staff was really nice. It is a cozy little place in a quiet area, perfect for a good rest after exploring Barcelona all day long. Would recommend for those who want private space on a budget. Greetings from Hungary.

Area ist not too close to the center but can easily reached by train. supermarket and very good Café is nearby

Furniture was old and worn, second bed was noisy. Overall not well maintained and not matching the pictures.

Very nice accommodation, according to the price. Shops, restaurants, market are very close. The accommodation is clean, tidy and the staff very good. They immediately helped with all questions and requests. Well connected to the metro, so that all of Barcelona is easily accessible.

The beds are a little uncomfortable, but after walking all day, it's not a big problem to fall asleep right away 😃

This hotel is phenomenal! It was a perfect location while staying in Barcelona with a seamless check in and check out process. The best part was how friendly and responsive the staff were whenever I needed something. The value staying here is impossible to beat, and I would recommend that anyone traveling to Barcelona stay here. It was a flawless experience!

reception people very kind and very helpful , room was big enough for 3 people,great room service clean every day ,bathroom good as well, very good location very close to few supermarket and delicious bakery next door , 7 minute walk to metro ,15 minutes from central BARCELONA , amazing idea that is there machine with drinks and snacks .

be honest everything was there what we need

Self check-in was super easy, the room was very clean and modern, staff had good attitude and was very helpful, room service also was always in good spirits and responding with warm welcome and smile, pretty well located - surrounded by many cafes and bars and restaurants,(A good hint would be that in the area it is good to know some Spanish to visit shops and cafes, although it's manageable to pull through without knowing much of it, people are rather open and helpful.) not to far from metro station. Also I had a special request about having a bicycle in the room, and Hostal staff made no issues, they also offered option to drop off the luggage including bike before my check-in and to tore it in the room.

Unfortunately AC was not well maintained, and AC unit in my room had to be fixed during my stay, although I would mention that hostal staff was making what they could to minimize the inconvenience it caused. facilities were very minimal, this information is not hidden from anyone, but it is good to be aware, and double check what's included.

it has been the second time I have come to this hotel and I extended my stay for another week simply because for me in barcelona or around the city there is no better place to be. its been years I came to the city but nowhere this great with fantastic shops and restaurants and markets and parking around for a better value and much quieter than the center of barcelona. this feels more real and like home away from home.

on my third day when the lock of my room was sorted out.

The key wont open the outside door and it hard to lock the room of my door. I need to get another key I was struggling to close the handle of my room and on the first day it wont open my room when I come back.

The location was not secure if your travelling with family.But if you are travelling alone or with couple then go for it.

the showerdoor was broken and the water went everywhere in the bathroom that was a bit annoying

Terrace is really awesome. the room is small but it’s really very good for short trips. The staff is really very helpful and decent.
