The room was very small. The fact they charge 10 euros for a small dog for a night, been in 4-star hotels in Spain and the maximum been charged is 5 euro.

It was close to the beach and bars and restaurants .Very friendly staff especially the guy at breakfast

slight smell in the room from the drains and a mix of old fashioned bed linen

Everything. Dirty shower black mold and bedding was unthinkable

Missing kettle for coffee, tea. Small room, can hear into other rooms. Small bathroom. You can easily hear a conversation on the street during the night (windows closed).

Easy Check In .. Made To Feel Welcome .. Unfortunately Our Room Wasn't Suitable but when we told Manager He & His Wife Found us another room .. They were very Friendly & Polite .. nothing too much trouble .. Room was Spotless & The Bed Was Extremely Comfortable ..Great Nights Sleep .. Also a Fabulous Location ..Right Next to The Sea (Mar Menor ) .. We enjoyed Our Stay & Will Be Back ..Gracias

Convenient location, close to beach. Good size bathroom for an ensuite. Freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast. Fridge in the room.

Breakfast was more basic than expected - coffee and a toasted half baguette with jam. Orange juice was freshly squeezed though. Room would have been too cold in winter and too hot in height of summer. Didnt see any heating or aircon.

Location excellent. Girls on reception pleasant and helpful and cleaning staff.

Needed better lighting on stairs. Main problem was the owner and restaurant manager who were rude and unhelpful. Only ate once in the restaurant due to poor quality food after a ninety minute wait . In fact deserves zero !

The room was clean, the bed linen was lovely and fresh, also it was right across the road from the beach.

Our room was a bit out of date, the bathroom could do with a good make over, also the air con didn't work which we really needed as it was very warm at night, also the fridge was like a Boeing 747 taking off every time it came on.

Parking Wear and tear of the room - bedside cabinet disgusting, the wood has disintegrated Bathrooms - very small ( couldn’t sit on the toilet without knees hitting the wall in front) Air conditioning (centrally controlled, set way too hot 26 degrees)

The location was excellent on the beach the breakfast was very basic just a slice of toast and coffee.it was for a one star hotel very nice

I booked using booking .com for six nights and was charged 245.pounds.which seemed fair however it was necessary to extend my stay by three nights for which the hotel charged me 200 euros which included 5 euros for breakfast just toast and coffee. I think it is awful when a hotel would charge double the prices of booking .com

I liked the hotel a lot and would choose it again without a second thought. It is hard to rate Hotel Madrid because it is only a one star hotel but in my view is far better than that. Sadly, I didn't have time to try their food but the menu (if like me you like seafood) looks absolutely amazing. The location is wonderful too. Sixty feet from the sea-front parade. Mar Menor is special too. The largest inland salt water lake in Europe.

Parking is hard to find.
