Room service was good and prompt

Food was pathetic , cooking medium was bad , everyone in my family is suffering from gastroenteritis. The rooms are small , they don’t provide enough space for luggage , no cupboards. Toilet are pretty small.

The path leading to the resort is unmettled and not even lit. It's a matter of few minutes though but still bit of unwanted experience.

Highly recommended.Excellent property , exceptional view and very courteous staff. Definitely will visit again.

Location however reaching there off-road of 800 MTR was a task...very bumpy. Food was awesome.

I have been to better properties than this in lesser price..I have thought it to be a five star resort but it ws not even a 3 star, it was super hot during day with no fans, forget abt ac, so many flies n mosquitos.to get a mopping done u have to call the staff thrice

View is very good. Some of the food is really good.

Approach road is very poor. Steep, non Tarmac road. Quiet risky if going at night or in snow. Food is very costly. Also at check out they tried to charge for complimentary water!!!.

Awesome hospitality. Kudos Team Woodays Resort. Loved every bit of our stay. Staff is very helpful. Food is delicious and location is best in the region. We will surely visit this property again.

The cab provided from highway to hotel is not upto the mark. Can be improved.

it’s approach road which almost led to a damage beyond repairs to my car. the road is slippery and wet and can make a car stuck for hours. worst experience.

Location - the resort is located around 12-14 km from main shimla city. It provides a perfect offbeat experience in an otherwise commercialised/ busy tourist destination. It is located 700-800 downhill from the main road. When we visited in feb end, the snow had started melting and the road to the resort was full of slush. We had to park the car beside the main road ( don’t worry, it’s safe to park there) and were hauled to the resort in their 4x4 Bolero camper. Since it’s located some distance downhill from the main road, you are not disturbed by the noise of the traffic moving through the road. Also, there aren’t a lot of rooms (huts) at this property. So even at full capacity, the number of people are limited to a small number. (around 30-40, guess). All this adds to a serene experience during stay at Woodays resort. View- The view from the room is absolutely wonderful. You can see the sunrise from the bed, the sitting area outside the room or the open lawn . The view of the hills and the snow covered peaks at a distance is absolutely magnificent. 3. Room comfort. -rooms are cosy and come with room heaters and bed heaters. 4. Wifi- unrestricted high speed wifi access. 5. Staff is polite and courteous.

There are a few things that the property definitely needs to work on. 1. Food- Before booking the stay, I had read a lot of positive reviews about the food served. But that wasn’t the case. The only and probably the biggest let down of the stay was the food and it needs a massive improvement As the resort is located at an offbeat location away from the main city, people literally have nowhere to go if they make a late decision to not eat at the resort. Somethings that I’d like to highlight are 1. Idly sambar- sambar served was sweet, coco chutney was bland and the idly didn’t taste good. I’d advise fellow travellers to steer clear from this. Definitely not worth the price. 2. Paranthas - Even local vendors operating out of a kiosk, serve better tasting paranthas. This should be improved as a majority of the people travelling to Simla hail from the northern states. 3. navratna korma- as my wife remarked , it should be renamed to pineapple sabzi. Steer clear. 4. Kindly consider starting a half/full plate option for non veg gravy items.
