great location, amazing views and super nice staff. Its nice to be outside the crowds of Imlil, its only a 20-30min walk down to the town. The food was amazing (dinner is 15 euro pp inc water/tea, what is more than the restaurants in Imlil, but the food was much better), the room was like on the pictures and had a lot of space. It was clean and there were enough towels, blankets etc.

The location was great for a bit of calm after the bustle of Marrakech, we really loved the Atlas mountains. The staff were friendly and the food provided was very tasty and reasonably priced. Said was really helpful setting up a walking tour and Hassan, our guide, was great, especially with our daughters. The haman was really relaxing after this. The beds were warm and comfy.
The rooms were cold at night with no way we could find to heat them. The weather in Imlil was generally colder than the weather apps/websites said it would be so we wish we had packed another jumper etc., not a reason not to stay, just a reason to buy some nice slippers to warm your feet in Marrakech before you arrive.

The hospitality of the hosts was just great and we definitely recommend to try the delicious dinner.

Situated in a stunning Nature Reserve of Toubkal, you will find a true Berber welcome from Siad, the manager, who greets you as an old friend. Tea on a Terrace with views of the adjoining villages takes ones breath away. You sit at over 1800 mtrs, which affords you access to waterfalls and mountain trekking. The hotel/inn, which has been welcoming guests for centuries is utterly authentic in feel and accommodations. Rooms are all located below the main terrace and afford stunning views and comfortable beds. The bathrooms are modern and there is plenty of hot water for showers. The meals on offer are a trip to a family kitchen. Healthy breakfasts with more than you can finish. Simple lunches, which again fill you for your afternoon excursions. Then Dinners of traditional Moroccan choices. All cooked to order, and utterly satisfying. Said is available at all times for anything you may require. He is truly a gem! The bonus; The traditional Hamam, with an excellent massage. The Hamam room only accommodates two people. And please note that the Hamam is heated via a wood fire, located beneath the actual Hamam Room. It can take 4-5 hours to heat, so please plan your request accordingly. This is as authentic enviornment, not a "spa".
The Cook, porter and all you encounter are friendly, most courteous, and kind. They will try to accommodate your requests, and are extremely happy to offer their personal knowledge of the area. This is a truly once in a lifetime spot to stay at and Said makes your stay memorable.

Le Village du Toubkal was a charming, calm and cozy place to stay during my trip to Imlil in the Atlas Mountains. The staff Said, Houcine and Lahcen were incredibly friendly and welcoming while being discreet, and they went out of their way to make sure I had a comfortable stay. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and they had all the amenities I needed. I highly recommend this place and for sure will come back again.

L´Hotel du Village du Toubkal is located outside of the little town of Imlil. One has to pass through this little busy place with its hoards of backpackers and hikers (no ATM btw) and then hope to find a rusty sign (on the left) as you head up and out to Village du Toubkal. However, the road to the hotel is very narrow and it´s best to leave your car parked in Imlil and get a taxi (or walk) for the remaining mile or two. The location is beautiful because from some of the rooms as well as the terrace one looks both down into the valley and up into the mountains. A walnut grove extends throughout the valley with its many small villages and the walk down to the river is easy. Other walks are also inviting even if you don´t feel like scaling Jbel Toubkal. We had a typical breakfast (fresh bread, jams, amlou and eggs with a side of pancakes) served in the main room of the lodge by a crackling fire (it is a lodge rather than a hotel). We also opted to eat in at night (because getting down to Imlil is difficult unless you are good on foot and don't mind the dark!). The food was plentiful (soup, main dish and desert) and delicious although there is no choice of dishes, so it´s important to make sure beforehand if you have any dietary restrictions.
I think it is important to warn guests of the narrow road leading up to the location. It is not wide enough for two vehicles to pass easily and there are no guardrails.
There is no cleaning service and at least one of the bathrooms was not at all inviting. Also, no place to hang your clothes. If you are expecting a simple (but beautiful) mountain lodge, it will do.

We really enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff. They were excellent at ensuring we had everything we needed and recommending hiking trails and other activities for us to do. The rooms are cozy and every meal we had was very authentic, hot, nourishing and delicious! We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a homey authentic experience in the mountains!
The ONLY thing that wasn’t ideal for us if that there was no credit card payments available and no ATM in the village of Imlil. This is no fault to the hotel, we would just encourage anyone headed to this area to be prepared with enough cash from accommodations, meals, laundry and tip money!

The personal was very friendly, the food was really good, the best accommodation tidy and beautiful
it seems to be a general problem in the mountains, but the Wi-Fi is not really working (if you are hiking no problem)
