Seriously, wow. The castle is beautiful and amazing and the rooms were so comfy. The staff were so friendly and we felt so welcomed. I would highly recommend taking the tour as well. There’s rich family history that adds so much more to your stay! Thank you so much for your hospitality!

authentic. not too many visitors. we had access to most of the rooms in the castle and could explore on our own. excellent and friendly stall. very good restaurant.

door locks were difficult to operate but gave more of the feeling of living in a castle.

From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty! The staff were friendly, accommodating and professional. Our room was clean, large and brilliant! It was our pleasure to stay in such a magnificent castle with amazing views, brilliant dinner at the restaurant and to have the attention of the wonderful staff!

The only thing disappointing was that we had to leave!

WOW! is the main response. such an amazing few days!! The staff was fantastic! It was rustic (no TV and the wireless was spotty, etc.), but exactly what I expected. As clean as one can keep a castle, and being given free-roam was an adventure of itself.

I guess the plumbing was rough-reminded me of living at summer camp where you had to be ready at anytime just in case someone flushed a toilet. BUT I can’t imagine how one would get decent plumbing in a place like that!

Lovely location, excellent staff

The shower was very small, you had to be a contortionist to use it and they should have a tray in the shower to hold soap etc since it was too small to bend down and get soap.

Beautiful view and scenery, the stay comes with full access to the castle halls. Moreover, the castle is in a very convenient location for visiting many more historical sites in the area.

Do not expect a modern, 5-star hotel experience... but that's part of the charm!

we really enjoyed the place, it was a wonderful experience to spend the day in the castle. we also enjoyed the castle visit and the breakfast was good

Please add “no drones” to your rule set - another guest flew his (loud) drone for multiple hours and disrupted other guests.

The staff was great : all were friendly and helpful. The castle is in great condition and has so much character. It had everything we needed. The trattoria near the castle (cinque terra) was excellent. A great experience overall.

the property is breathtaking. the view is just out of this world and it’s super cool that guests get to roam the castle as they please - no matter the night or daytime. everything is kept original and there are so many details and trinkets to explore. we had a little letter in our room which was a really nice touch. be aware that there’s no wifi, something we actually really liked to focus on being offline. also the way there by car is very steep and the entry to the castle is narrow so make sure your car fits.

the quality of the linens and towels could have been better, both were really scratchy. we had an outside bathroom, not an issue in itself, but the shower could have been a bit better maintained

Amazing experience in the castle and the ability to tour the rooms gave us ample time to explore. Our own room was lovely with a gorgeous view and a much larger bathroom than I had expected from a castle. Very friendly staff.

Breakfast was a little underwhelming - bread, jam honey..some fruit and yogurt. Not a deal-breaker for us as we went to a local bar for an typical ‘Italian breakfast’

It was a different and magical experience. We loved every second of our stay!

It is a very special experience to stay here. You feel like you are transported back in time while still maintaining some luxuries which allow you to have a great stay. I would be happy to return to recharge my batteries.

The breakast was delicious but the portions are a bit small.

When booking a castle stay you are looking for the experience. This did not disappoint

Nothing to dislike, only niggaly thing was , the restaurant outside of the castle has to be booked in advance. Any one visiting this area a stay is most definitely advised.

I have mixed feelings. I have very nice memories of the staff at the castle.

However, we were told that we can visit the castle whenever we want. My husband and I sat down on one of the terraces, I checked twice if it was private ... It was not. Even if it were it is not an excuse. The Lady Owner of the castle appeared and screamed that the terrace is private, why didn't anyone tell us? We started to leave quickly and we apologized but despite this fact she continued her monogue even though we were leaving. We got a nice letter to welcome... But it was fake. It is a pity that the culture of this aristocracy is really lacking - be careful. It is hard for me to imagine that someone living from tourism is so rude to her guests. And I have to said it again people who worka as the service was very helpful and friendly.

Amazing experience to live in an old castle. Tastefully furnished and decorated. Big parts of the castle are open to be discovered. The views you get over the region are unique. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere warm.
