Die Lage ist perfekt, die Zimmer sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich 🙂 Als Tipp: Vielleicht eine Hakenleiste zum Jacken aufhängen, großzügig genug ist das Zimmer ja 😉

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Obviously if you book a shared room you might get disturbed by other guests coming in and out (and standing over your bed whilst they empty their own bags/ make their bed/ mess around (some people have no manners to take it away from the place that you're obviously sleeping at - because the room was massive and there WAS a big empty space where they could have done it without breathing over me)... There is a lift and easy access to he rooms. Reception staff are friendly. Each room also has its own shared bathroom which is better than at other hotels i have stayed at. You need to bring your own towels and toiletries as these aren't included. You can hire out a towel and you can buy little sample sized toiletries at reception. The hostel is right in the middle of Leipzig - about 2 mins walk from the market square. It therefore seems to be very good value considering the location.

Some of the guests that were staying were a bit inconsiderate - especially the person sleeping above me - who came in late and left early - and didn't give much of a s... t that he was staying in shared accommodation. The shower room leaks and is in the same room as the toilet - so if you need to use the WC - you can't if a room mate is showering. The showerroom always turned into a big puddle/ lake when you washed. I showered twice as it was 30 plus degrees celsius when I arrived and very hot overnight in Leipzig. I thought maybe I hadn't closed the door correctly the first time I showered but it happened again in the morning. The door either didn't seem to close and seal properly in the shower or wasn't designed correctly to hold back the water/ the drainage hole didn#t work properly. There was no way to stop the water escaping from the shower into the rest of the bathroom and eventually into the room. Take some flip flops - if you need to use the bathroom after your room mate has washed up - then you will need them. ** I also didn't like that the beds weren't made up - it meant that you couldn't just relax on arrival and had to make the bed first. It seems to be some sort of gimmick that you can stay for less as you make your own bed - BUT IT MEANT THAT LATE ARRIVERS REALLY DISTURBED SLEEPING ROOM MATES - whilst they were trying to figure out the fitted sheets/ duvet covers and pillow covers.

Very clean, big rooms

Rooms are much darker than on the pictures, there is very little light (no main light, only bedside lamps - for the double rooms it’s not as useful) and the hostel is very noisy at night, especially from the outside (there is an open space and the noise echoes a lot from there and enters the room).
