My room was next to kitchen extract fan which was loud and caused the room to vibrate from 6am to 10pm. It was impossible to sleep between those times. Overall the hotel seemed run-down and akin to 1970’s student accommodation. Way over priced compared to a Premier Inn at the same price point.

Loved the late check in and breakfast the next morning was very good
Hardest bed I’ve ever slept on, and pillows not good either. Took hours to get to sleep as was sleeping uncomfortable.

Was a little put off by location at first as don't normally stay so central but we enjoyed our stay, food was good, excellent value for money. the rooms were clean and comfortable. Most impressed by the welcome for my dog! Yes, we had to pay, most places charge for dogs nowadays. But 2 very nice comfy dog beds, a plastic mat with 2 dog bowls and a goody box! Made to feel so welcome - thank you.

location in the old town centre. Inclusive breakfast was generous freshly cooked and delicious. Evening meal was also as good and very reasonably priced.
Although clean, the bedroom was obviously refurbished on a budget and a little scruffy around the edges. No hot water at the hand basin at 6:00pm.

The staff were very happy to answer an questions and they were very polite, the room was very clean and comfortable went down for a meal and it was very good value for money

The hotel was centrally located. Staff were friendly. Room was a good size & good value for money. Food & drink was readily available & decent breakfast included in price.
Our room looked onto front of property where a market was being set up from 7am on a Monday morning. It was a bit noisy but we had to be up fairly early so didn't spoil our sleep too much

Food was lovely both lunch in the bar and the breakfast. The free parking was also very convenient. All staff were helpful and friendly and the room was clean with good facilities.
Unfortunately it was a little noisy in the early hours but I guess due to the great location near the Abbey, not something the hotel could actually be responsible for.

Great location and free parking
Continental Breakfast was sadly lacking - no pastries, poor quality fruit and only bran flakes and fruit and fibre cereals. We don’t eat cooked breakfast so my child was very disappointed. The table which the breakfast buffet was on was very grimy

It's a great place to stay, Selby has some fantastic pubs and restaurants and it's only a bus ride to YORK and cheaper to stay.

Mould on ceiling in the bathroom. Big leak reception area. Should of been cheaper given these issues

Close to the station.
No rooms on the ground floor. Even though I requested in advance for a room on the ground floor (as a special request) and it was confirmed my special request would be met, when I arrived at the hotel I was told the hotel has no rooms on the ground floor!!

Exceptionally good value for a travelling family. Staff and accommodation both great and breakfast on point.
very hot rooms with no air con or fans unfortunately. Windows open but with little relief in the heat. definitely didn’t put us off returning though.

Very convenient location, free parking and excellent breakfast
First time I've stayed in a second floor room. The door at the top of the stairs Is a sliding door which is very noisy if people dont catch it but just letbut slam shut. It disturbed me several times. Also first time I've had a room at the back and the kitchen extractor is also quite noisy
