Rooms did not have mini fridge, coffee/espresso machine or microwave. Toilets (septic system) required toilet paper thrown out in garbage.

Absolutely magical hotel nestled in the cloud rainforest of Monteverde. We saw the most beautiful birds and wildlife right on the property. The rooms were spectacular, the service outstanding, and the restaurant food is delicious. I can’t recommend Monteverde Lodge & Gardens highly enough.

Breakfast was phenomenal!!!! Healthy delicious fresh. So many options included. We got fruit and toast everyday and the typical Costa Rican breakfast with rice and beans, plantains, and eggs. Property is a paradise! So gorgeous. We were super close to town and all the attractions. We would spend the morning touring then the afternoon lounging by the pool. Then go out at night. The staff is super friendly and kind. The rooms are super super clean they would send someone to clean twice a day. Beds are soooo comfortable with nice fluffy comforter. This is a big deal to me! So many hotels don't have comforters and I find I can't sleep without their fluffy weight. This is a perfect combo with their nice cold AC. Note.. there is no TV in the room we used our iPad to watch TV when we wanted to relax in the room.

I think night room service can be skipped sometimes bc it allows bugs to get in the room. But this timing of the season there were no mosquitoes so depends on time of your stay. Put a sign on your door to avoid night service.

As the name implies Monteverde did have a beautiful and natural entry, rooms, deck and gardens. The pool area was very relaxing. The two dinning rooms were quite uniquely different but both wonderful. And, the food we thought was exceptional!

Although very nice we felt it was a little overpriced. in the morning we occasionally ran out of hot water to shower which we thought was odd for an upscale facility.

A beautiful hotel set in the jungly hills. The staff were particularly good, very attentive and made you feel very welcome. Rooms were spacious, very clean and had lovely views. Breakfast that comes included is very nice too. We were here for our honeymoon so went for one of the more expensive hotels in Monteverde - I would say it was worth it for a special occasion.

The pool wasn't very practical to use, it often had a lot of leaves floating in it and we didn't actually find it was warm enough to merit it.

The location was great, away from everything. It drizzled every day, which added to the experience. Our room had a garden view, which was very nice. The staff was wonderful; very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom, esp the shower, could use an upgrade/update.

Incredible location, beautiful hotel with wonderful grounds to go for a little walk. The food was amazing! The staff were wonderful, always anticipating our needs and going out of their way to help.

Breakfast was amazing!! Loved the orchid room.

Our room view was obstructed with construction and there were construction workers walking by our window randomly. Unpleasant.

the property is beautiful with trails and gorgeous gardens. great food, wonderful staff.

Brilliant location, stylish rooms and amazing setting. The dinner was great and catered for our preferences as vegans. The staff were also extremely helpful in arranging activities and transfers.
