the space was great for two families with lots of room and ac in the rooms. pool was great. It would have been nice in the booking period to know which house we were booking. as there are different types of pools for each house and different levels of shade.

The kitchen was missing a few things, wood spoons and just little amenities that would have been nice but not essential. We struggled with the garbage as there were not extra bags and I dont remember it being clear that self catering meant that there wouldn't be more garbage bags anywhere (food waste very small) but then the messaging was rather extreme that if garbage is mixed it will be a fine for us. Otherwise amazing time.

Loved the quirkyness of the property. It is exceptionally maintained by the owner in a nice village with many local amenities close by.

The swimming pool as it is described is disappointing, you can’t swim in it because it’s too small. it’s more of a plunge pool to cool off in.

Ta Barun farmhouse was very welcoming, small but ideal for a family break. Tucked away in the quite village of San Lawrenz, it is only a few minutes drive away from picturesque Dwejra. Its host is very helpful and we had a great time there.

When we arrived late at night at the Tal-Barun Farmhouse in Saw Lawrenze it was not the interior we were used to. We saw a lot of old things and it was so hot inside. The next morning we woke up after a good night's sleep thanks to the (newly installed) air conditioning and good mattresses/beds and jumped enthusiastically into the private pool. Welcome to Gozo. After two days of exploring Gozo we came back to the farm and said "this is such a warm, welcoming home away from our own home". Tal-Barun grows towards you! We stayed in Tal-Barun for a week and it showed us how people live/lived in Gozo. Each room tells you a story. And a BBQ on the roof terrace every day was really lovely, because you can watch the sunset, and you hear and see how the local people live their lives. The host, Marvik, was in contact with us all the time if we had any questions or just to give information or tips. That was very nice. So if you want to experience a piece of unique Gozo, this is a really nice place to stay. It is a quiet place in the middle of the village where you will quickly feel at home. In our opinion it is definitely a place to return to.

Because we arrived around 01.30 in the night, we would loved to have something like eggs, butter and bread for breakfast. But there was tea, milk and fruit! We had to find a supermarket first. Later in the week we saw the there was a small supermarket just 300 mtrs away. Our mistake. Just a small tip for the owner for late arrivals in the night.
