Food was average, not very authentic, didn’t accommodate gluten free diet, even though they were advised ahead and said they could. Only one restaurant was open, and they often could not support the menu.

It has a wonderful location and they have made the pool area quite special.

I wish they could tell foreigners a little bit about the “hotness/spiceynous” of the food being served in the buffet. Also, the receptionist for dinner would seat people in nice locations with the view but then, while waiting for more quests to arrive to be seated, would walk back and forth right by one’s table. This happened the first couple meals and then we finally asked to be seated way inside where it wouldn’t happen.

As beautiful as the location was, the staff are on another level. The true definition of hospitality. Too many people to remember but special mentions to Dinuka, Rohana and Charith. Exceptional

There are plenty of ants in an around the rooms. As Sri Lanka is an island it is to be expected, its just a minor annoyance.

The only good things pool

Half of the staff don't understand English. We paid half board, and there was nothing eatable for the kids. Everything was spicy or very poor quality. I asked the chef de cuise pizza and yogurt for my son, and his answer was so interesting. He told me extra charge.I spoke to the operation manager we waited for more than 25 min and We left 8 o'clock to sleep. He catched me in the lobby with pizza, and he told us to take pizza and close the case. I mentioned to him my son sleeps 7 8 pm send me our room but It was really bad experience. 2 of my friend will come next month to Srilanka and I never recommend to them this disaster hotel.

The view from this resort was amazing!! The room was large and comfortable and the air con and fan were very welcome in the heat. There were a few blackouts but the resort has a generator so made things painless. The dinner buffet was huge and delicious. The breakfast buffet was quite good as well. The hotel is about 30 mins from Sigiriya and Minneriya so is a great stop if you are visiting these. They also let us check-in early after a night flight which was much appreciated.

The bathroom was a bit dirty but nothing terrible.

Nice welcome with wet towel and a sorbet ice. The entire staff is super friendly. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Comfortable beds. We had 3 times a buffet and one evening a menu for dinner. The food was always delicious. Excellent breakfast. Also important: the hotel takes good care of the drivers!

We did not have anything to complain!

This hotel is a gem. The pool was very big, clean and warm. It was lovely to relax after visiting the ruins, which are close by. The staff is friendly and I think the price you pay for coming here is accurate.

I didn't like the fact, I booked a driver in advance, but it wasn't organized as I arrived. Also it turned out the driver wanted to have more money for me in the end, than we agreed on before. Additionally he didn't wanted to stop at a place, which I also asked before at the reception and per messages before, and he just said "he has to charge me extra for this".
