traditionelles portugiesisches Haus mit kleinen Garten und überdachter Terrasse mit Grill. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und die Küche gut ausgestattet. Die zwei Bäder waren auch angenehm. Die Lage im Ort ist gut. Lokale und Supermarkt zu Fuß erreichbar. Zum Parken ist es sehr eng. Ein wenig Autolärm in der früh, aber die Fenster sind sehr schalldicht.

Die Schränke in der Küche rochen etwas modrig. Aber es ist sauber. Der Geruch kommt wahrscheinlich von dem offenen alten Kamin im Wohnzimmer, der aber wiederum sehr urig wirkt. Auf der oberen kleinen Terrasse fehlt eine Sitzmöglichkeit, da es dort zum Frühstück in der Sonne sehr schön wäre.

the house was very humid and you could feel the dumpness all over. it is a stone house, with no ventilation or air conditioning. for me it was very hard to sleep like this. it is really weird not having air conditioning in this house when you invite people to stay. the sheets and towels also had a smell like they were dried in a humid place. it was actually a very bad experience and I even thought of searching for a new place. on top of this when we turned on the oven and washing machine the electricity went out. when I told this to the owner with some other questions he told me that he was never asked such questions. I actually don’t understand the high score on this place.

Beautiful home! Have everything that we needed for nature / hiking holidays. Great pick up service at the airport by Francisco (a very nice man!) The place is MUCH larger than what appeared on the pictures, with food / drinks prepared for us upon arrival. Highly recommended when you stay in Furnas, coming back to the house after a long hike in the nature always felt like we were going home to a sanctuary :)Thank you Francisco and family we had a very nice stay!!

The owner came to the airport to give us the keys. Was very welcoming and helpful. The house was very clean, beautiful and included all the utilities and more. Very well situated and quiet place. Highly recommend.

Missing a private parking for rented car for more protection.

If you’d like to stay in a traditional, old Portuguese house, this is your best choice. Charming, lovely decorated, attention to details, wonderful garden, clean, well preserved, plenty of space, well equipped. Excellent location, a few minutes by foot from the spas which area wonder by day and night. Furnas is a quiet, beautiful village.

Azores can be very humid, the house won’t protect very well against that. It might also be a bit damp and cold at times, although there is heating available. A mosquito net by the bedroom windows would help.

original welcome. we could take all our meals on the covered terrace. there is a small garden at the back of the house (good for kids to play). 2 bathrooms. Location was good to visit Furnas and surrounding.

parking is difficult in the surrounding streets. we had to wash all the dishes and cutlery before use. noisy street even at night if windows of the bedrooms are open. we were told to check-out at 10.30am latest but the cleaning lady knocked on the door at 9.30am!
