Very friendly staff, excellent location (not in a noisy area) perfect for a night stay. I also liked the warm pork scratchings and Worthington's. Would definitely stay again if I return to Wigan.

Headboard at the end of the bed was loose and carpet a little damp. WiFi didn't work in the bedroom.

No spare pillow in wardrobe as told. Also no spoon on Tea tray

I got to the hotel in the night and could not gain entry so I had to make alternative arrangements.

Great location, 10 minutes walk to town centre. Clean and tidy, plenty of tea/coffee in room. Great sports bar on front of property, reasonably priced beer.

Girls behind the bar on New Year’s Eve were really helpful and walked us to both rooms I booked. Friendly, and had a sense of humour! Cheap to say it was New Year’s Eve also!

Booked two rooms together, one was booked as a twin which was correct, the other was booked as a double but ended up in a twin so ended up pushing the beds together! Emailed in advance to explain w It was my birthday weekend and asked for a later checkout with it being my birthday and got confirmation this would be okay with no extra charge (only wanted 1 1/2 hours), and a free drink out the house just for me for my birthday. Arrived, no drink even though tried to prove vial email (not too fussed), rooms couldn’t be any further apart if they tried, one In main building and one in the annex at the back. Got woken up by housekeeping to say this wasn’t possible and needed to vacate as soon as possible with bear minimum sleep! Never felt so bad and pressured to drive after a night out before.

The staff never let me in the property so I had to sleep in my car, called several times and no answer, knocked on the door and no answer. Never got my money back and now they are ignoring my messages. So I do not recommend this place

Very old fashion furniture in rooms but would stay there again.

The room was very clean and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities and shower gels supplied. The bed was firm and comfortable and the bedlinen had the crisp fresh feel of good quality bedlinen. The shower was excellent with a powerful spray and a good temperature. There were enough sockets, including one close to the bed. The TV worked easily with a wide variety of channels. The member of staff who showed me my room was pleasant. There is free overnight parking right outside (but not during the day) It is handy for the centre of Wigan.

The entrance area/ staircase to the rooms creates a poor impression which I was relieved was not borne out when I reached my room.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Very pretty room and good size. Had everything I needed for a very reasonable price. Room away from noise of main pub was appreciated. Very clean.

Shower gel dispenser was empty but didn't really matter as I had my own. Couldn't tell if small towel was a hand towel or a bath mat - used it as a bath mat for getting out of shower so would have been nice to have a hand towel too. Very minor and didn't impact my stay overall

Shower pressure brilliant, clean with very comfortable beds. Location couldn’t have been better .

i got back from the hospital at 10.05pm the girl behind the bar said sorry I called last orders at 10 but people was still drinking in the pub at 11pm very rude

There was no breakfast, but the room and location were both very good.
