Hill Farm was a lovely property, spacious grounds, plenty of room with the additional use of a lounge area.

The property and room was cozy and relaxing. The breakfast were spectacular and the hosts are so friendly and helpful. The location was actually great… It is in the country a bit, but only a $12 taxi ride from Oxford. And the price was spectacular compared to rooms in the city. 

We got the standard room, by our own choice. (the room was exactly as it should have been for a standard room). But I wish we had booked a larger room, since we were there for four days.

The English charm, the surroundings… everything was exceptional! Our hosts were lovely & couldn’t do enough for us.

Pictures of property did not seem to match what we experienced. Property in pictures looked pristine. In reality, needed updating and TLC.

Slight noise from the nearby A40 but I am a light sleeper. Could have done with a lighter weight duvet as it was very hot but I’m being picky now.

Lovely farm setting very close to Oxford Well appointed room with comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Part of a working horse park which adds interest to the stay. Good information made available about stay and surrounding amenities. Overall an enjoyable stay

Wifi is a bit patchy due to being in stone cottage.

all was good, host excellent and a great breakfast. While we were there at breakfast, it started raining and our host went and fetched some brollies, can't ask for any more than that. Nice location down a quiet lane, easy to find. Would stay there again.

Quite a basic room, limited power points and no hair dryer. Not sure if we have been spoiled, but it was something we would expected at this price. There was also the issue of the non-draining sink, however the host was made aware of this and he did say it would be sorted

The view

Although tasty, half the items in the cooked breakfast were hot and some cold which spoiled it. Stupid positioning of mirrors above the sinks in the bathrooms - our room was ridiculously high that I could just see in it on tip toes and I am 5ft 5 - and my parents was ridiculously low that you could only see in it if your head was down by the taps. Our toilet was badly stained (brown) - very unsightly and could have been removed with the correct cleaning products Shower so small my partner couldn’t use. Streaks of condensation stains on the bathroom walls - not appealing. The bed mattress needs replacing - too soft or so overused that if you got too close to the edge you would just roll off onto the floor - which happened several times - so very bad night sleep had by all besides overused pillows which were completely flat. The road traffic noise from the dual carriageway close by constant and very audible with the window open. The breakfast room was a short walk from the accommodation - which we new to expect - but did not expect to have to walk over rough stones - that consequently scratched and ruined any polished foot ware you were wearing. The reason I didn’t say anything before leaving was because my partner didn’t want me to and embarrass him.

Accommodation very nice. Very clean. Views lovely. Breakfast great and proportions spot on.

Only a very minor issue and probably down to personal preference but both of us found pillows very soft. Everything else was great. The only reason we wouldn't stay again is that we don't envisage being in that area, again. But, if we are, would go back.
