Our stay here was amazing and we will remember our hosts for a very long time! Everyone was very kind and hospitable, and they made the experience unforgettable. After a very, very long drive through the mountains we were also offered a super-tasty dinner for a very reasonable price. On the day of our departure we were given some grenadillas straight from their garden. It is a great place to rest in calm and quiet surroundings.
Everything was great! However, the entrance to the Wasi from the main road could be a little bit better marked.

The kitchen and grounds were very dirty, we left after I looked in the kitchen shortly after arrival. It smelled like rotting food. Can not recommend staying here, which is said because the mother seemed very nice in the early afternoon when we first meet. Something disfunctional is likely at this house.

We enjoyed the warm hospitality from the host and her family. We had really nice breakfast provided by the host. The room was beautifully decorated with native Andean's art and beautiful traditional construction. This is a unique bed and breakfast at a small farm that provides the opportunity to visit the owner and her family.
It was a bit difficult to find the location.

It was a great experience to stay here and to get to know a bit more about rural life in a small community close to Cotacachi. The food was delicious and the room was comfortable. The familiy is very welcoming and helpful. Thanks a lot!

-Staying at Kalpa Wasi meins staying with the family, 4 kids, parents, grandparents, which were very open to us and helpful
- we could have breakfast and dinner with the family, all quite basic, still good opportunities to talk
- location close to Cotacachi, 20 mins walking to the city centre
- in the Ecuadorian countryside dogs, cocks, etc. are filling the quiet of the night. In case you want ir absolutely quiet, you should rather go for a Place in a quiet street of a city

We stayed in our own cabin type housing right in by where the family lives. We learned a lot about rural Ecuadorian culture and way of life.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kallpa Wasi! Our room was so beautiful, all brick and wood with traditional Andean tapestries and fabrics. We had a cosy fire in our room in the evening, which was heaven. The best thing about Kallpa Wasi is the family who own it. They are so kind and welcoming. Staying there is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the Kichwa way of life. In the evening we ate with the family. The food was absolutely delicious. For dinner we had a traditional Andean quinoa dish with vegetables. Breakfast was more pancakes than we could eat, with home made jam. I can't recommend this place enough!
The only downside was that Kallpa Wasi was a bit hard to find, the taxi driver didn't know it, but we found it in the end! The upside is that the location is quiet and peaceful!

I felt at home with a very comfortable bed, a nice fire, and a beautiful breakfast. We talked with the matron of the property while she taught her granddaughter how to make pancakes. It’s best to have a little Spanish/Kichwa if you want to have the best experience here.

The family is great! The meals are traditional and very delicious. The vistas are perfect.
To find the place is a little bit difficult without the use of Google Maps. There could be some mosquitoes during the night.

Our hostess was lovely and taught us lots about the Quechua way of life when we helped her on the farm. She cooked us lovely meals. We were a 20minute walk from town through a lovely community. The room was great.
