The apartment is situated near the center of this beautiful town. The town is less touristic than Wernigerode and more authentic.. Although our German is not so good it was not a problem to make us understood and the host speaks slowly and clearly. Before arrival we contacted the host on the phone, and make the check in arrangements. All went perfectly well. The host was very friendly and helpsome and has a parking place nearby the apartment for a daily charge of 5 euro, which we consider fair. The house has 3 flats, and we had the upper one. It is difficult to imagine how it looks from the images on booking.com, so I supply a simple drawing of it. All the facilities mentioned on the website are available. For a family with 1-2 small children it will be OK, but probably crowded if the children are older. Anyway, we had a good time in this lodging and can recommended it to others.

Location was perfect: quiet street but very close to the old centre. Parking close by and efficient. Not cheap but certainly value for money.

The first night there were other guests in neighbouring apartments and (in the evening) there was some noise coming through (television and conversations).
