La signora Maria è gentilissima e super disponibile. L'ambiente dove eravamo alloggiati era una specie di depandance monolocale, storico con arredamento molto caratteristico. Pulizie ogni mattina con cambio asciugamani e fornitura giornaliera di capsule per la macchinetta del caffè e di mele. Colazione poco varia ma abbondante e ottima.
Gli infissi vecchi, coerenti con l'ambientazione storica, ma che non chiudevano ermeticamente per cui entrava il vento (di notte faceva freddo) e la luce (anche di notte per via delle lanterne accese nel cortile). Inoltre ci sono tanti rumori dovuti agli infissi e il soffitto di legno che scricchiolano per il vento. L'ultima sera c'è stato un blackout nel nostro monolocale proprio quando dovevamo fare le valigie e prepararci per la partenza, anche se Maria e il proprietario sono arrivati subito hanno passato ore a cercare una soluzione trovandone alla fine una temporanea per fortuna.

The walk to Horta takes about 45 min and offers beautiful views. The way back is a bit longer and more demanding as you have to go up the hill.

The welcome by the hostess was very warm and friendly by Maria. The breakfast was delicious and sufficient. Every day my room was fresh and cleaned. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to stay carefree in the Azores.
The only downside was that the distance to town was 3 km and that had to be done on foot or by taxi.

Being located in Flamengos means a hire car is a near necessity.

I love this place! I highly recommend it for a stay in Faial. The bnb is very charming and cozy, the rooms are clean, it’s pet friendly, and the staff/hosts enjoy and take pride in their work. Filipe and Dona Maria are extremely kind, sweet people. Wonderful introduction to Faial. I would absolutely stay here again.

I highly recommend this place. The house is beautiful and full of history. Rooms are very comfortable with nice detailes. Very clean.
Good breakfest.
But the best are Felipe and Maria: smiling , helpful and with many good advice and recommendations.
They just care about their guests.
Even without a car I could enjoy the island.

This antique-style house is located in Flamingos, which is a 5-10 min drive away from the city of Horta. The host and housekeeper are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great. I was lucky to be the only person staying in the entire house, and I enjoyed the stay.

We liked everything!! Superb breakfast, totally beautiful property exquisitely finished and decorated with authentic period antiques. The host was tops, very friendly and attended to every need including ironing some clothes we had laundered. We could not find fault with anything.
