Nothing I can think of -we were all happy The fact that we were happy is show by the fact we re booking a return visit quite soon

The window couldn’t close in our bedroom, and in February that’s a bit chilly. There is quite a bit of noise from the pub. We had dinner at the restaurant/pub which was very average. We had to wait an hour and 15 mins between starter and main course, despite chasing, and not even an apology. expensive for what is was.

Food was a bit hit and miss, one of us really enjoyed dinner the other not so much.

Breakfast was ok. Dinner was a car crash!

We ordered expensive steaks. They were cooked ok but were at best warm, not got. The plate was freezing cold. The chips were warm. When we asked for the food to be heated up, there was no apology and it was returned on a warm plate but the steak was still only warm. Such a pity as the room was perfect and we were looking forward to a lively meal. Not to be

Got given a time for our dinner, told where to sit rather given a choice. Food was not to the standard expected. Medium rare steak was under cooked and was told in the morning that they had run out of baked beans for breakfast. not sure how you can run out of baked beans with shops close by. We felt like we were not relevant and that outside meal books were more important.

The only gripe would be that the bed tilted down slightly which meant I kept nearly falling out of the bed. But that's the fault of the hundreds of years old floor not the establishment
