Great location, great kitchen

Just to be aware that this place is more like a hostel, common shower for many rooms.

Very personal and caring manager. Central location directly on the Gotakanalen. Checkin without problems. Kitchen in the house for free use of the guests.

Rooms a little small, especially when you stay for several days. Location directly beside the road a bit louder in the morning (except on the weekend). Cutlery could be a little cleaner at breakfast. Even in comparison to Swedish prices (which are generally higher than at home) a bit overpriced, I think due to the location.

Food prices are ridiculously high. Entertainment-quiz show's done by someone who probably couldn't handle drinks and the work at the same time...

Relaxed atmosphere. Prompt and helpful service.

We loved the location which was close to the canal. The owners live off site so no one answered the door when we arrived. A neighbor called and found the husband for us. He efficiently connected us to the man who rents bikes and we were off riding the Gota canal within the hour. Beautiful little town with friendly locals. We went off season so it was quiet.

There were about 5 rooms upstairs and 3 downstairs...each had 2 - 3 beds (single and double). Most all the beds were unmade. The bathrooms were dirty. Our niece found a single bed downstairs in one of the rooms that had not been slept in and we (husband and wife) slept in the only other 2 single beds that were in a small room next to the front door. Room was too small for a suitcase, so we had ours in the entry way on the floor. Workers were in the basement and outside until 9pm. Not sure what was going on; perhaps the cleaning schedule was off. We did receive a discount; just wish we could give a better review.
