Everything was amazingly clean and comfortable, staff were very kind and also for a motor lodge we felt like we had our own space

The owners dog can be intimidating with all its barking.

Unfortunately the door into the Shower/Toilet was difficult to shut and when it did it stuck. Also it would be good if there was a light beside the bed in the bedroom otherwise everything was fine Thank you

Two separate sleeping areas. Newish bathroom - nicely tiled. Clean and tidy New kitchen facilities. Able to park right outside the unit entrance (sliding door). There was a fan heater & cooling fan in the wardrobe if required.

The woman at the reception office was not very welcoming., She was a bit consumed looking at the computer instead. Gave my details, she seemed more interested finding out whether I had paid or not. She gave me the key and pointed out the window which unit we would be staying in. 15- 20mins after out arrival, went back to the office to enquire about onsite laundry use. Rang the office buzzer, waited for 2 to 3 minutes, but no one came. On the way back from the office saw a sign regarding laundry facilities which gave the hours of use - 8am to 5pm. There was no information sheet in the room to advise about the lodges facilities,- (hours of use) for the laundry/swimming pool & spa. No information about Kaitaia township or suggestions where to dine. Cooler night - turned the heatpump on. Didn't really seem to be making a difference in the room temperature. Tried changing the settings on the heatpump to rectify - checked and found that the heatpump filters where clogged full of dust. Thankful to have found the fanheater in the wardrobe that took the chill off. Bedroom didn't have any side table lamps, one main light and the light switch by the bedroom door. Bedroom curtains too long - when they were shut they were sitting on top of the bed pillows. Entrance sliding door - net curtains could be pulled back either side from the middle of the door where it opened, unfortunately the main set of drapes was one piece and had to be pulled from left to right which was a bit of a pain when going outside at night. Notice above the kitchen sink - saying tidy as you go (surcharge will apply) Couldn't find a teatowel. In the morning a cleaner walked past and I said to her that I hadn't done the dishes as there was no teatowel to dry them..........she said just wash them and leave them on the bench she would come by later and dry them.

Great location. Clean and tidy.

There was no bars of soap for hand washing in the bathroom and kitchen. Could hear the neighbour's t.v through the wall. Not cheaper for cash.
