Excellent large room with little covered balcony that overlooked the castle. A surprise was an equipped kitchen in the room!

A very pleasant experience staying in this penzión. Just right below the castle with beautiful view from the balcony. The host was friendly and welcoming. Clean amenities and nice breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

I was in Oravsky Podzamok to visit Orava Castle, and this hotel is an excellent spot for visiting it, plus it has a great view. The room itself was clean and spacious, and I was happily surprised to see a little kitchenette and equipment! And lastly, I thought it was very nice of the hotel to provide guide books for this region and Orava Castle, as well as local takeaway menus. It was very helpful!

Walls were quite thin. I could hear the guests in the next room talking and watching television, either that or they were just super loud.

Check in was great. Owner was very nice. Room and property was good.

Not that is bothered me much but there is a cemetery right next to property. We discovered this when we walked around to visit Orava castle. No spirits nor dracula came to visit us at night so we were not bothered 😂. The town is pretty Much dead in November. This is out of season time. No places to eat, maybe just one restaurant open all day. If you visit in november, expect to cook and prepare your own food!!!! There is no food even at train station. Therefore i suggest you book breakfast at the hotel before you enjoy your day because trust me its a ghost town!!!! For November anyways! Orava castle was the highlight of our trip and its 100 anniversary of the silent horror movie Nosferatu. Castle was nice but town is dead!
