Amazing place. Nicest people. Unforgettable Experience. Great wifi

We visited for 4 days over our honeymoon and were incredibly happy with everything: 1. The included breakfast was really varied, filling, and delicious 2. Opt-in dinners nightly were so tasty and incredible value compared to limited options nearby. 3. Our suite with ocean view was impressively furnished and designed considering how remote the location is (e.g. rain shower with plenty of hot water). 4. The staff were super welcoming, attentive, and helpful at all times. 5. The other guests that we shared dinner and common space with were fun to connect and hang out with and regularly shared tips for local adventuring and bottles of wine and beer. 6. The surf boards, paddle boards, wetsuits, and kayak were all great to have available for free. 7. Wifi worked well in common space. 7. Finally, the setting of Fajã da Caldeira de Santo Cristo is stunning and worth the trek in/out, by foot or by ATV. We opted for the hike in from Serra do Topo and trek out via Fajã dos Cubres.

Our only disappointment was that the surf wasn't up, but that's not in the control of the property.

Caldeira Guesthouse is located in a magical spot, surrounded by a breathtaking view! The staff is super welcoming and the food they cook is tasty and homemade. You can chill during the day, hike around or surf! Highly recommended, especially if you are looking for a peaceful time, surrounded by nature. At night, if there are no clouds, you can see an amazing sky full of stars and even the Milky Way! ✨

The staff where amazing, friendly & helpful. The location is stunning and I truly recommend to wake up early and watch the sun rise. The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was shared and super clean!

Unique place, sorrounded by nature, perfect for relaxation e sport. Very cosy accomodation, helpful staff and super good meals. Thank you, would love to come back!! Emma

The people, animals, location and the guest house are exceptional. They serve very tasty food in the morning, at lunch and at dinner. You get a pick up with a quad. Expect to pay 20 euros one way. They have electricity since last november.

The wifi can be poor but you do not need it here.

The whole place is fantastic. Incredible location off the grid, great hospitality and a beautiful house and terrace. You can either bring food and cook in the well equipped kitchen or order breakfast/ lunch/dinner the previous day. Meals are refined and healthy, very tasty and made with love. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. Would definitely like to visit caldera guesthouse again.

When I travel, I always look for unique places. What can I say? From now, it is number one on my list. AMAZING! I can write about delicous food, comfortable bed, pretty details of house and great view...but is not enough. You have to go there and feel it.

This place is magic

The accomodation is located at the famous Faja da Caldeira de Santo Cristo and it’s amazing to spend some time there. This Faja can only be accessed by hiking or quad and in my opinion is the most beautiful place in Sao Jorge. We received a very warm welcome and immediately felt like home. The room was super clean and cozy and our host cooked a delicious dinner for us. I wish we would have spend more time there and can highly recommend this place.
