Place is beautiful, staff is super friendly.

Had the honeymoon suite. - jacuzzi tub is a normal tub as it doesn't work. They actually put a note stating exactly that. - when there's loadshedding we're asked not to switch on the aircon, in these cold nights. The rooms big so it was extremely cold.

I am admittedly biased, since the original house was designed and built in 1960 by my frandfather Casper Krüger, great-grandson of the legendary Paul Krüger, which the present owners have subsequently converted into the 4-star Kassaboera lodge. Having grown up here, several of my cousins and I recently used the occasion of a family reunion to return to this grand old home to rekindly fond memories, wondering if the intervening 60 years had altered any of our recollections at all. What a pleasant surprise it was to discover that the present owners, Manie and Amanda, have done an excellent job here in the restoration of this special place! All the charm of the original house remains, with the high, thatched roof and spacious interior, but now with modern luxuries and conveniences added, such as the beautiful swimming pool and lovely gardens. From here it is still possible to undertake long, leisurely strolls along the lake. Now I am happy in the thought that this remains one of my favorite places on earth.

-Location was perfect and ideal. It was close to the tourist attractions and amenities. -Hospitality was great. -Staff were so welcoming and Lincon made us feel at home. Such amazing hospitality. -Breakfast was delicious and filling. -Rooms were clean and the lighting was good. -The lodge itself is clean and beautiful.

everything about the lodge was just beyond beautiful, the owners went way beyond to make sure I got what I asked for, the guy in front Lincon was just amazing always there to help. it was our anniversary with hubby and you would say that everything was planned in 1 day.

The room was beautiful very clean and cosy, the linen very comfortable the whole place was great, excellent service from staff, the list goes on and on, if you looking for a quiet place to relax this is it they get a 10/10 from me, we are definitely going back 😀

This lodge was so beautiful and the staff were so friendly. We felt welcomed and at home straight away. I would definitely recommend this. Thandi and Lincoln are an asset and made this stay one of the best we had.

Wonderful home away from home. It's a pity that the weather was a little cold, otherwise I could have made use of the beautiful swimming pool. Thoroughly enjoyed my massage with Lesley's crew. We enjoyed both rooms that we booked. Had our own cute little balcony to enjoy in the mornings and evenings. Lincoln is a ray of sunshine. Thank you to the hosts for providing a lovely break away from daily life.

Lincon was very welcoming, excellent people skills. Breakfast was delicious, pool was clean, they gave us an extra mattress and blankets for our 4 year old at no extra cost.

I booked a room with a shower but was given with a bathtub (either we were robbed or it's false advertisement), room was next to kitchen and pool, I could hear people talking and walking and that was disturbing. Bedside tables were covered with dust and there was a corkscrew next to one which shows the room wasn't cleaned, Bathtub was dirty, there's no air circulation...no windows, only the door and it's facing the walkway to the pool and kitchen which means we couldn't just open, super stuffy. Parking is too squashed.

The customer service and sense of urgency when we requested anything was absolutely excellent. A full english breakfast prepared to perfection. The room was the perfect size and well furnished. The swimming pool was amazing, the pool area was welcoming with many extras available close by (Microwave and fridge). Security access and access to communicate with staff was comforting and professional. Generators so no loadshedding was a bonus for us.
