The location is great and it’s very handy to be able to access the main street without looking for a park. The water pressure in the shower is good. My five-year old loved the bunk beds.

The cleaning was pretty poor. The fridge in the room obviously hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time as there was yellow mould and excessive ice build up. All of the surfaces were grimy but the bathroom looked clean. There was a used coffee mug on top of the wardrobe and other rubbish debris (beer cardboard carton) with the layer of dust. The spare blankets and pillows were shoved haphazardly into the wardrobe and the spare pillows didn’t have pillow slips. Those too were just thrown in. But the low point was discovering the large prawn that was on top of the fridge and had been there a while as it had sort of melted on the top. The room we were in, Room 4, also is next to the front street entrance. So, when someone comes in and the door slams shut, your door rattles. A few of the window locks didn’t actually lock and the door itself only had a push button … Most windows overlooked roof and thus could be feasibly accessed, so I was a little skittish being there alone with my kid. It’s also above the outdoor terrace and band. I did not expect much quiet, it’s a pub after all, but it’s not the best spot for the family room. A lady worker started up a mini leaf blower at 6.45am too, after a half hour of unpacking table and chairs and complaining about her love life. The pub manager though was very kind and offered a full refund if I left, to apologize for the room cleanliness but as there was some sort of garden festival that weekend, everything was packed/ booked out. So we got stuck.

Convenient location. Well heated.

Key problems. Locked out. When we left the room at 8 am to find breakfast we discovered that room key did not unlock front door and no staff on duty to help until 10 am. We were never given a front door key. Two of us in room but only one key.

Noisy could hear other peoples conversations in adjoining rooms. Not very clean.

In the middle if town.

Room had no heating & no fridge. The cost of my room was the same as my friend but their room looked to have been refurbished plus they had heaters & fridge.

everything except the noise....low level but continuous music until after midnight..not sure if it was downstairs at the bar or room next door.

Room had own ensuite. The Hotel was located adjacent shopping strip. The bed was comfortable and room clean.

The room was dated but the room was more than acceptable based on age of Hotel.

Very friendly staff, great handy location. Lovely clean bedroom.

The bathroom had a leak in the ceiling above the toilet which made it uncomfortable to use without a raincoat. I was waiting for the ceiling to fall in as there was a massive bubble of water above me waiting to burst. I know it has been raining for two weeks but it would have been good if they would have noticed and not allocated the room. Other than that I would definitely stay again.
