I felt that I was arriving to visit friends. Wonderful people. The "Hof" is restored with highly evident professional expetise and care. The room was well appointed, impeccably clean, and very quiet. View on the garden. Breakfast was lovely.

Our stay was too short... Honestly, I can't think of anything to say here. The hosts are not trying to make the place something it is not; for our needs it was perfect. Ah! Perhaps home-made, or at least artisianal bread for breakfast would have been great. That said, and as mentioned above, the breakfast was lovely. And the bread was lovingly toasted!

The service and breakfast. We arrived in the evening and the restaurants nearby were closed. The daughter of the host prepared the boiled water for us, so we can have something for our dinner. She is very impatient and nice 🙂. Thank you, beautiful girl!

The heating of our double room was not function and we had to open the heating of bathroom. This resulted in noise during night. In addition, if a instruction of heating can be provided, it will be fantastic.

The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The room was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was good and parking was spacious. We loved having a room that walked out to a beautiful garden.

Newly renovated, clean, comfortable bed, quiet environment

Excellently family run small Pension immaculately clean and comfortable. Family Gärtner are the perfect hosts. With the property in close proximity to the Thüringer forrest and surrounding beautiful countryside It provides the perfect location for a short or longer visit.

The house is in a small village, with its own parking lot. We really liked the tastefully decorated surroundings. The room was nice and clean and had everything we needed. Well-functioning Wi-fi. Delicious breakfast - a choice of several menus. The owner is very talkative and knows how to establish contact with guests in a friendly way. He is always ready to help with advice and speaks good English. In short .... top level accommodation ... I highly recommend it.

We weren't quite sure what to expect. This is a lovingly renovated and cared for facility. The breakfast (included at a ridiculously low price) was a selection of 4 or 5 menu items from standard rolls, cheese, cold cuts and coffee; through muesli, on to eggs with bacon and toast. Our host, Steve, (who is trying to learn English) was engaging, helpful, and accommodating. This is probably the best review I've ever written for an accommodation, and it deserves it!!

The weather. What the heck, it is Central Europe so what can one expect. Great place to hole up with a book if you need to though.

An amazing property in a beautiful village. Our hosts Steve & Sonja we're fantastic hosts, a warm friendly welcome and showed us to our garden view room which was absolutely gorgeous!! The room was beyond our expectations and was 5*! Spotlessly clean and the bed was super comfy we had the best nights sleep so far on our European road trip. There are drinks available at the bar and Steve is more than happy to serve you at any time. Breakfast was delicious and fantastic value for money. The village itself has bakery/coffee shop, small supermarket and restaurants. A special note of thanks to our host Steve who sorted out our flat motorcycle tyre and made sure we went safely on our way, which is very reassuring when you don't speak German and your hosts are on hand to solve any problems without any hesitation. I can'recommend this property highly ...it is a truly beautiful place to stay.
