Beautiful location and lovely hosts

Wonderful location in the south of Zakynthos with amazing views of ‘Turtle Island’. The property is very private and secluded and really allowed us to disconnect and recharge. It was a dream to be surrounded by nature with direct access to a beautiful beach. Dimitra and Nicholas were very attentive, friendly and kind. The villa we stayed in was clean, modern and comfortable. A bonus: the location attracts really interesting people from all over the world - we made some great friends during our stay. We will definitely be back!

We were looking for a quiet place in "our" Zacinto, and we found a corner of paradise. Lithalona Villas and House is located on the promontory of Marathias (one of the most beautiful on the island), and each House and Villa enjoys absolute privacy as they are surrounded by olive trees and scented pines. The added value is the access to the private beach, made of smooth flakes falling on a turquoise and crystalline sea; it was wonderful to take long baths at dawn or at sunset with the island of Marathias in front of our eyes. The house furnished delightfully and complete with EVERYTHING (coffee, salt, sugar, oil); but the real plus were the hosts, Dimitra and Nicholas who welcomed us with a sincere affection adding to the furnishings of the house oil production and cheese, and with a briefing they suggested a series of wonderful activities to visit Zakynthos in a deeper way, even if it was the fourth time in Zakynthos we did wonderful things thanks to them. I do not know how to thank them .... this review does not give enough credit to Lithalona Villa & House; go for it!

The host, Dimitra, was very kind. She gave us clear instructions on how to reach the villa by car or boat. She met us at the villas and handed over the keys, and then she spent some time with us showing around. The villa is very cozy and it has a private beach, which is absolutely wonderful. It's the perfect place to watch the sunrise. Dimitra is very helpful, so just ask her for anything. She gave us recommendations, she was very welcoming, providing us locally made goods at our arrival.

Everything was great. Maybe one thing, that I can think about, that we did not like is the fact that time was flying too fast there and we had to turn back to our daily life too quickly :)

Lithalona houses and villas is of the most beautiful places we have visited in the Mediterrean. Because of the size of the estate you have a feeling of being alone even if there are 5 houses. The different sitting corners in the garden give a lot of privacy and a great view of the bay. Snorkeling is possible from the beach. Votsalo is a great restaurant at the end of the driveway. The house is tastefully decorated, very clean and well equipped. On arrival a basket with fruit and vegetables, wine, bread, essentials in the fridge, home made apricot jam, olives and olive oil from the garden makes you feel very welcome. But especially Dimitra is the cherry on the cake by being discrete, but very efficiënt and helpful. The mix of a personal approach like in a B&B, but with much more privacy was perfect. Because we like to discover new destinations we usually don't go back, but this is a place where we will be back in the future.

My sister and I had the cosiest holiday at the villa. Exceptional service made us feel at home. Privacy, blue water, and idyllic view made it all a perfect place to relax and energize. We read books, enjoyed local activities recommended by the owner (kayaking, wineries, local restaurants and visited beautiful landscapes). During our visit to Zakynthos, we didn't find any better place than this! I definitely will come back again!

From the moment of booking, we soon received a message on how to get to the accommodation. On the way to the accomodation, we noticed there wasn't much tourism. It is a stunning part of the island. A lot of nature, a few restaurants along side of the road. Once we arrived at the accommodation, we were surprised how beautifull the aera was. We were the first one this year since Covid19. We were warmly welcomed, we received very clear instructions on how to use the accommodation. The site is secured with a gate, a parking space under a carport, there is even a restaurant next to the site if desired to have lunch or dinner. The accommodation, second surprise, is very warmly decorated, a romantic spot! The entire site and house is very clean. In the kitchen as well as in the refrigerator we found bread, fruits, spreads and a bottle of water. They really took care of everything. There was also a bottle of olive oil and olives on the counter from their own garden! The bathroom is also fully equipped in case if you forgot something, like shampoo! They have a lovely terrace at the accommodation, the general terrace is also great, but the entrance to the beach is really overwhelming. Small but spacious and cozy, and of course lots of privacy. Dimitra, our host, and her husband Nikos, are such lovely people. Dimitra understands service and attention. She recommended three restaurants, all three were different and very unique in their own way. We had all three places arranged by Dimitra. Basically, if you need something, do you want to go somewhere, ask Dimitra! Mario, the dog, is a really good companion. He sometimes visits us to check-on. Very sweet and calm, maybe good to know. Beatiful and quiet location near the sea, great owners, the houses are located in the wonderful garden, this place is great for relax.

The villas are equipped with kitchen, so the guests are expected to arrange for their own meals. Nevertheless the hosts Dimitra and Nikos were exceedingly helpful and when we arrived, fridge and cupboard were already filled with everything we would need for a start - bread, milk, juice, fruits and vegetables, cheese, butter, etc. We even found excellent olive oil and olives, produced by the hosts from their own olive tree grove, for our consumption during our stay. The property is superbly well kept, the villas embedded in a lovely Mediterranean garden with plenty of romantic corners to delve during the day. The hosts gave us lots of good tips on where to go during the day or where to have special dinner experiences. We felt 100% at home and enjoyed every minute of our stay in this little piece of paradise.

We‘d like to express our full satisfaction in a more personal way with a place so perfect that we wouldn’t believe it exists! Dear Dimitra, we were already astonished so much when spotting the lovely place here at booking. All our skeptical thoughts on those highly rated reviews immediately vanished away the moment we arrived and drove through that big green gate of entrance. Everything, really everything, was arranged beyond our picky expectation. We took all these fantastic experience with us back to Germany. Your place exudes tidiness & order, love & care; it ushers thoughtful yet not overdone details of decorations, inside the houses, outside on the patio, in the garten, along the stone ways, in front of terraces by the seaside... Every morning we were greeted by beautiful sunlight and gentle sea waves while sitting having our self made breakfasts. Oh, your dog Mario has been our constant visitor too, politely resting under our table till we finished. We were fascinated as well by the exclusive, easy and romantic access for each guest household to the beach. This intimate privilege and comfort makes us forget our stressful work life and think „how did we deserve this? Hell yeah, we deserve it!“ ;-))) Of course but not of course, we discovered and swam for half an hour with that old wise sea turtle, twice, at noon time of his, just in front of our own beach area! You were so happy for us too while us telling you our adventure! ::))))) This review along cannot cover a bit of our gratitude for what we experienced at your place and the hospitality we received.
