Friendly hostess. Privacy of chalet rooms set in grounds. Served substantial nicely prepared breakfast with lots of choice. Nice village setting.

All guests seated at one long table for breakfast felt a bit awkward to me.

The breakfast was exceptional. The owners and other staff also had a lot of time for my son who has additional needs and sometimes can be hard work. They were also willing and able to provide a high chair for my 1yr old.

Everything was perfect.

Everything was as described and suited our needs. A quiet location to rest for a couple of days after a long flight from NZ.

I liked how friendly and accommodating the owner Deborah is. We travelled with 3 children so I needed to be in and or of her fridge which she didn’t mind and made our lives easier.

This is or second time staying at the property, we had a great time.

The b&b had the disasdvantage that we could compare with 4 other stay´s in b&b´s in 15 days. All in south west england with almost same prices and each for 3 nights. As a result we feel obliged to tell that this one is maybe caracteristic but besides that there are no items that makes it in some way a top destination. Price/quality not ok.

The whole of the b&b misses a refurbishment and as the owner told us that she runs it for over 30 years we think that in that long period almost nothing changed and we think that it will not in the future. The cleanliness of the rooms was ok but the overall cleanliness of the building was not really good. E.g. income door of the house not clean with spider rags or similar. A little effort to keep this clean should help to give customers a prompt good feeling on arriving. The bed in the single room has a mattres that needs ro be changed urgently. Besides that we will nevertheless congratulate the owner for running more than 30 years this b&b. Not everybody can present such a state of duty. We whish her also much pleasure on her vacation on the new cruise ship in october of this year.

A real gem, lovely settings. If you love quiet then this is the place to go. Comfy rooms with it's own swimming pool and hot tub. Breakfast was exceptional with a great choice and quality. The host Deborah was friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay there again and really enjoyed my stay.

Couldn't find anything to be disappointed about.

The room was gorgeous. It was warm and cosy. Breakfast was amazing. It was fantastic to sit down to breakfast with other guests all together. Everything was cooked to perfection. Deborah and Nigel were so friendly and accommodating. I cannot rave about this place too much. It was mine and my partners first ever weekend away without children and I would definitely go back.

My only suggestion was because I'm fairly short is having a step to get onto the stunning four poster bed. There was some very inelegant face planting going on to get on it however it did provide plenty of giggles.

The setting is lovely

Question and rules information at check in. You have to confirm exactly what you want for breakfast and what time you will arrive and breakfast only served between 8-9. Spa bath jets - only half of them worked. Room was tired and needs a good refresh. No vanity area in the room. Curtain was stained. Just generally a room that had no love given to it. I think the setting is the main selling point but will stick to a more modern hotel where you know what you are getting and not be told what you can and can’t do from the moment you arrive. We travel a lot and £149 per night is a fair whack for this type of stay and a lighter approach on arrival would have been welcomed. Communal dining table was not our thing so we didn’t stay for breakfast so cannot comment on that feature. We stayed in the “luxury barn” which had people staying in rooms both sides of us so we heard every crash and bang when the next door guests arrived. This was after being told that our headboard was against the wall where our neighbours tv was mounted (I’ll leave the reasoning for that remark to your imagination) and that we should not use the spa bath to late as the motor made a lot of noise. This was in no way “luxury”. Overall I can honestly say I have stayed in much nicer hotels for less money which have everything you need for a really comfortable stay so we would not be looking return when we travel down again. I’m sure lots of people appreciate its charm but it wasn’t for us.

first of all, I want to thank that I was welcomed in their house and for the sandwiches.everything is a little beyond expectations. and even more. RECOMAND.

Loved the spa bath and four poster bed, in a lovely quite location.

Could have had more TV channels as wasent many. Also would have liked beans with my breakfast. But other than that everything else was perfect.

Excellent we had full English couldn’t fault it and an omelette which was the tastiest I’ve ever had. Our hosts Deborah and Nigel were great very welcoming and friendly

The room was spacious and lovely and the breakfast had plenty of variety. The surroundings were very quiet.
