Poppys is a hotel with lots of character conveniently situated in the centre of town. The hosts are friendly, informative and on hand when you need them. The accommodation was all that one could wish for and represented good value for money.

*35 stepped staircase with winders. *Due to no air conditioning and only the use of fans, the apartment was stifling. *Couldn't sit outside for air as no direct access to outside space eg a balcony. * Windows had to be kept open for air and consequently, the waft of cigarette smoke from the busy square below drifted in.

This is an excellent location with a very nice comfortable apartment with two separate bedrooms at the back. The front of the apartment has a very nice full kitchen and living room. We all enjoyed the charm and the spacious apartment. The shower pressure is outstanding.

This apartment is lovely, but it is located above restaurants that open at 7 am and close after 11 pm. The noise from these restaurants is constant (people speaking loudly), so having the windows open mean a noisy apartment and cigarette smoke getting in. The bedrooms at the back are quiet.

This is a full apartment that we stayed in, not a "bed and breakfast". There were a number of single rooms available with breakfast. It is on the second floor (actually 3rd by American counting) of a twisting staircase, so large luggage is not ideal. Fortunately one has to navigate that only once going up and again going down. This would be a great family space with 2 children or two couples traveling together. The main open room is very comfortable with kitchen, dining and living all open to each other. The bathroom is nice and large and also has a washing machine. I would recommend Poppy's to friends and family.

Depending on your arrival, be sure to get clear directions to Poppy's, not just the address. Ceret can be like a rabbit's warren! We arrived by train from Paris and then bus from Perpignan around 5PM, information that Poppy's host had. It was dark and raining when we arrived at the closest bus stop without a clue. A nice young man said he would walk with us and even carried one of our shoulder bags. We are in our 70's. Thank goodness for the very nice young man!! He was not familiar with the location either, but he managed to get us there.

This was a lovely appartment with evreything u would need during your stay. The owner was also very friendly. Tutto bene:).
