What an amazing place. Very highly recommend. The house, surroundings, room, meals and hostess were tremendous. Highly recommend and would love to go back.

The property is gorgeous and relaxing. From the moment we buzzed at the gate Daniela cared for us. The bio pool was the perfect place to spend the hot afternoons with a beer. The olive groves made for a perfect sunset walk. There are cozy books and picturesque terraces for an Aperitivo. The included breakfast was wonderful with everything from eggs to fresh tomatoes, ham and cheese to pastries. The optional dinners were also fantastic. Daniela even let us help her cook one day. There is much to explore in the surrounding area if you can tear yourself away from the tranquility at Casa Balata.

We loved the entire experience. It’s worth calling out that you would best enjoy the area with a car unless you’re quite ambitious or looking to stay put. There isn’t much within walking distance (Realmonte is 30min by foot and the walk back would be steep). Bikes are available but the roads rough.

perfect for a quiet and private vacation. far away from any crowd. beautiful swimming pool with a seaview. it was kind of difficult to find the farm at the beginning but after we arrived we loved every minute of our stay..

Fantastic location, wonderful hosts, delicious food. I especially loved seeing all the oregano harvested and then included with the meals. The road is fine now, and directions from the host and signs make it easy to find.

Stay with Daniela and Catarina. The place quiet and very personalized with true home feel. Peaceful, beautiful, serene and authentic.

Wanted to stay longer.

This resort is exquisite. The site is beautiful. It was the perfect agroturismo for us because it is a wonderful place to relax in. We spent an entire afternoon by the pool enjoying the sun and the seaview. Also the hosts are wonderful: both professional and personally welcoming. We would definitely return.

There were no negatives. Some people might find navigating to the turnoff from the state road a bit challenging, but I would encourage visitors to arrive during daylight and if they must arrive in the evening to brush up on their mapping skills and enjoy the challenge.
