Jose and Fatima are wonderful hosts, friendly, helpful and who know how to treat their guests with a big smile. The house is very comfortable, with everything you need to spend a good time : well equiped kitchen, bbq, big bathroom. The location is calm and peaceful. And their dog Benji is incredibly cute and as friendly as his owners !

Nothing regarding the house. Povoaçao is a small town with nothing to do and see, so people searching for a good place to eat or have a drink will have to reach Furnas 15-20mn away from there.

A great place to relax and stay in the area of Povoacao. You step out onto the veranda and have a very picturesque view of the mountains and the rest of nature's gifts, so it was perfect for us who were still working remotely. Jose, the owner, is very kind and good and we shared some nice conversations with fantastic wine. The apartment is very calm and quiet, there is everything for your rest after a hard day. The kitchen is well equipped and if you are missing something, you can always ask Jose. Fátima did our laundry and she took care of everything. It felt like being back home with our families. There are some hikes to do in the area and the town of Povoacao has some supermarkets and restaurants to make your stay easier.

Just be aware that the accommodation is not exactly in Povoacao but around 2kms uphill, so a car comes handy. Also, the place is so much in the country side that you might get some insects in your room. For us is part of the experience, but it might be bothering for other people. Another thing we missed is the breakfast, which everyone said in the reviews that it was amazing, but they do not serve anymore... We will have to come back to enjoy it!

The view from the terrace was beautiful. The garden was huge, with a lot of diversity and plenty of fruits to choose from. And Jose offered us plenty of useful information about the Eastern part of the island.
