The property was as indicated on listing and was so convenient but just far enough to the beach. The communication with manager was extremely responsive when I needed help with WiFi. The property was perfect for our family to enjoy time together while having the convenience of being within a few minute walk to beach and festivities while still being quiet to relax and enjoy time together. We will be back for sure!

The house is wonderful for large family gatherings - that each bedroom has its own bathroom is a major plus - and it's great to have a grill! The kitchen is well-stocked and beach items are thoughtfully provided. The convenient nearby lobster and farm stand provided us with several fresh seafood dinners during our stay. In addition, the management is very responsive. This is a great beach home and we'd definitely rent it again.

Wonderful and very comfortable house for our Old Orchard Beach get-away. Plenty of space indoors for everyone and nice outdoor areas in the back yard, side and front porches for dining and lounging. Nice quiet neighbourhood and just a few minutes to the beach and fun attractions. The property manager kindly welcomed us and was very attentive. Great place to stay.

House was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was included. We had one problem that was taken care of quickly. The house manager was very helpful and answered all our questions.

We had a small family reunion. Home had all the amenities we needed. It was great that all the bedrooms had bathrooms. Property was clean. Property manager was extremely pleasant and very easy to communicate with. Great location!

This was the perfect house in a very convenient location for sightseeing up and down the coast. We all slept well as it was a quiet neighborhood and the beds were comfortable.. The kitchen had everything we needed for making meals. If ever we are back in Maine we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Great home for 2 families... close to the strip and beach but far enough away that you don't hear the night time commotion... would definitely stay again.

The house was perfect for us as our kids and grandkids stayed on 2nd floor where they had two bedrooms each with a full bathroom while we stay on the first floor also with a full bath. One-half mile from the beach provided quite atmosphere but easy walk to beach. A major plus was Farm stand with terrific fresh fruit (and lobsters) at the end of our street.

Lovely property: clean, updated, nice natural light, every bedroom has its own bathroom, well outfitted with kitchen supplies, good internet service, easy walk to the beach, far enough away from the noise.

The house was perfect for our family with 6 adults and 2 small children. House is well maintained and clean. They offer many amenities to help with the children so we didn’t have to bring so much. Kathy was great to work with, very quick to respond to any inquiry. Very manageable walk to the beach and shops. This is the first place I’ll check for availability next time we look to come to the area

Cleanliness: This home was the cleanest home ever. Fresh sheets & towels, clean floors—not a bit of sand. Counters, appliances, bathrooms—everything. It felt GREAT! Set-up: if you’re traveling with a family, this is a great place to stay! My parents stayed in master on the ground floor. Upstairs, the two en suite rooms housed our family of 5. Our 2 elementary kids stayed in one room with a great closet and bathroom. We took the other room with a queen bed and used the provided pack n play in the walk in closet for our 2 year old. The attached bath had both a bath and shower. The kitchen is very nice—basics provided. The set-up with towels, soap, napkins, coffee (k-cups & drip), teas, and a freezer with ice made the first day easy! Amenities: Wow! To have a beach house that includes beach towels, a beach cart, small propane gas grill and some sand toys was great! We also appreciated the pack n play and the double stroller. So much less to pack! There’s a great picnic table in the yard. Eating inside requires a little more creativity. We rearranged a table and chairs to get three people at the table and fed four at the island. If you bring bikes, there’s not a great place to store them. We locked them to the picnic table. Laundry is easy and you need for soap and softener is provided. The porch with the rocking chairs are a great place to enjoy an afternoon drink. The gorgeous hydrangeas make the view even better. Location: This house is in a great location in OOB. Easy walk to a park with a great playground. Far enough from the beach/nightlife that you can’t hear it at night. Close enough to easily walk to and from the beach and not pay for parking. If you haven’t been to OOB before, like we hadn’t, it might be helpful to know it’s a great big sandy beach—perfect for kids and for teens. There’s also quite a lot of nightlife—bars and the partying/traffic to go with it. It’s not a sleepy quaint beach town. But the beach is very family friendly. Our kids played in the sand and boogie boarded all week. It’s a short drive to the sweet town of Kennebunkport. Also close to Portland. Hosts: The hosts were very helpful & responsive. I imagine they have done this a long time because they know how to make a family feel welcome! From the texts, to the ease of check in, to the generous provisions included in the rental, as well as the ease of check-out. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in OOB! It’s wonderful!

We had a fantastic experience. Kathy was so personable and accommodating. She answered every question quickly and thoroughly. This was our first time vacationing in Maine and we had something to do everyday, even when it rained. This property was an easy walk to the beach and the main strip where the stores, restaurants and amusements were. I highly recommend!

The house was very clean and comfortable. It is in a lovely neighborhood, a short walk from the beach. The property managers were very responsive to our requests. Overall it was a wonderful vacation. We will definitely visit again.

Perfect spot for our family our family of 4 during our trip to OOB! House has everything (stocked kitchen, beach towels, wagon, beach chairs, cooler, etc)...anything you need. Walking distance to all things OOB. Check-in/check-out was a breeze. We had an awesome week with 6 beach days and our boys went on every ride at Palace Playland several times. We highly recommend.

This is an awesome summer rental! Very clean great property manager. We look forward to spending a week here every year.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was clean and had everything we needed, and the central air was wonderful during the hot weather. The restaurant gift certificate left by the owners was a nice surprise. Kathy, the property manager, was extremely helpful. We would definitely like to stay at this home again!

Our family of three stayed for a week at Rose Beach Cottage and had a great time. The house is clean, spacious and well stocked. There is AC on both floors and it was much needed some days! The double stroller and high chair worked great for us. The beds were so comfortable and our daughter loved taking baths in the bathtub upstairs. All in all— great! And thank you for the gift certificate!

We really scored with Beach Rose Cottage. The house itself was beautiful, comfortable and roomy and on a quiet street. Everything we needed was there, no detail was overlooked. And the location was perfect, an easy walk to the beach and Palace Playland and no worries about parking. Just a great week. Thank you!

Had an amazing time. The house had everything beach towels cart chairs. Great having coffee in rocking chairs early each morning and relaxing in evening. Great neighborhood and very quiet. Close walk to beach restaurants and stores. They supplied so much. Coffee sugars plates paper towels and toilet paper. Amazing set up. Rooms and beds so comfy. Love to go back again soon. Great atmosphere.

Our stay was a memorable one. This house is fantastic - literally has everything you need. We were so comfortable - we enjoyed both the front and side porches, especially. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. Having off-street parking is key with all the day trippers parking on this street to walk to the beach. Truly a great place. Will definitely recommend to my friends and family.

This was a wonderful location for our family of 4 adults and 2 small children. Nice floor plan with comfortable accommodations and plenty of space. 2 full and 1-1/2 bathrooms came in handy as well as the fenced in yard for the kiddos. Well stocked kitchen and cute porch made this house feel like our home for the week. Close to town and beach but in a quiet neighborhood, I would highly recommend Beach Rose Cottage.

This is our 3rd summer staying at this property! We absolutely love it!!The house is immaculate! Nicely decorated and has all the essentials!! From Band-Aids to a lobster pot and everything in between! Kathy the property manager's response time is usually with in minutes of a text or call. This house fits my family of 4 with room to spare. My daughters are 18 and 19 and love having their own bathroom in the bedroom they stay in. There is also central air and Wi-Fi. And at the end of the street a small vegetable stand that will steam your lobsters while you wait. OOB is a wonderful relaxing low key vacation and staying in this house just completes the whole trip!! We look forward to spending many more summer vacations here!!

You must stay here! It will not disappoint. 10 star rating!! The cottage is a close walk to the pier and the beach so we didn't have to drive anywhere. Property had a beach cart that carried all of our gear which made the trek very easy! House has been updated and is very spacious. Each bedroom had its own bathroom which provided privacy for each couple and extra space on the landing for additional cot. There were plenty of towels for everyone and I personally loved how soft they were. It's the little things that really make a difference and this property does it right! The kitchen has a large island that seats 6+. We spent a lot of nights playing cards and it was very comfortable, even for the elderly. The air conditioning was a bonus as the week we went it was very hot and humid. The front porch was a nice place to sit and chat at the end of our day. Overall, a fabulous place that I would recommend to anyone. If we go back, we would definitely choose the Beach Rose cottage. Thanks Carol for your hospitality! Very much appreciated, especially providing us coffee when we arrived and leaving us a gift certificate to a local restaurant! We graciously used both!

This was our first time staying at this property, and in fact, renting a house instead of hoteling for a week. The property has set the bar high, and we would have no problems returning for another stay. Amenities are plentiful for four adults, both indoor and outdoor. The décor is modern but very comfortable and relaxing! Staff, discreetly located onsite, was able to correct a minor problem we had very quickly. This was at the time of our stay a quiet neighborhood close to, but not too close to the beach. An easy walk to and from. There are a flight of stairs in the back and the front and a split landing to the upstairs bedrooms. While there is no dining room table, there are plenty of places to sit and eat. I personally was looking for one towards the end of the week, but I am sure that is just a matter of preference. This is an enjoyable place to stay rain or shine. Did I mention relaxing?

Our family of 5 had plenty of room in this house for our 2 week vacation. It was comfortable, clean and well appointed. The AC on the first floor was great, and with the fans on, sleeping in the upstairs bedrooms (even in 90+ degree heat outside) was very comfortable! The short walk to the beach was just fine especially with the beach-going rolling trolley the house provided. The grill, side lawn, lovely flower gardens, off-street parking and front porch rockers were all enjoyable and/or useful! Having a washer and dryer in the basement was very handy. Thanks for a great place to enjoy the coast of Maine for 2 weeks! Cheers!

This was a wonderful place to spend a week relaxing. It is about a 10-minute walk to the beach but that is good because the beach and boardwalk are very hectic and noisy. In contrast, the house is located in quiet neighborhood with little traffic or street noise. The front porch offers a comfortable place to sit and talk or read. The bbq and picnic table in the back gave us a nice outdoor place to eat and enjoy some company. We didn't bring little kids but there are definitely accommodations for them - beach toys, crib, stroller etc. The rooms are big and clean and the property manager was very friendly and responsive. It is a short drive to a number of parks and the Rachel Carson Wildlife Preserve. And when it poured down rain one day we were able to drive for 15 minutes to a movie theater for some indoor entertainment. We really had a wonderfully relaxing time which was what we wanted for our week away from the big city.

The house was very clean and well stocked with everything you'd need. We had our 8 month old and there was a nice crib and high chair which was perfect for us. Short walk to the beach and main strip. Recommend!

It only took 10-15 minutes to walk down town. It was great to have AC.

Dear Cliff and Carol and Kathy, My friend Carrie and my sister Louise, who joined us mid-week, were so very comfortable in your home. I particularly liked that you had not beachified it; that is, posters and nick knacks with beach themes. I have nothing against that, but it was nice to be neutral and not urged to remember that Life's A Beach! THANK YOU SO MUCH for the gift certificate to The Bell Buoy. My goodness, how generous, and how wonderfully supportive of your local economy, and perhaps your personal friend. We ate there 3 times with great pleasure, and brought 2 bowls of mariner's stew home with us after we left. My sister loved the soft sheets and even checked out where they were from (Oh! Land's End!). You had everything we needed, even a funnel. And you kindly supplied ashtrays for those of us who still abuse tobacco. Outside, of course. We also very much loved not having to make or strip the beds, or sign up for a separate linen service, which is unusual for rentals, and so appreciated. Plus you left us coffee, which was a thoughtful touch and we used it all. Not to mention toilet paper and paper towels. That was very good of you to provide. Alex was pleasant and helpful as well. One thing you might think of providing is a first aid kit. Carrie cut her finger immediately while cutting cheese (vacation injuries are so silly), and we looked everywhere for band-aides but we made do with paper towels and scotch tape! We went to Rite Aid and got some band aids later so all was well. Oh, and the other thing was, we couldn't figure out how to use the Dish TV very well. We wanted to find movies but were always stopped because we would have needed your access codes and your account would have been charged so we didn't want to do that even if we had them. It was a very minor inconvenience. We had books and magazines and of course our iPhones and iPads so no one suffered AT ALL. We also loved being in a residential neighborhood because we're old folk and we like the quiet. OK, we're in our early 60's, not old old, but old enough that 9:00 pm sounds like about the time to think about maybe eventually going to bed. The beds were very comfy, and the overhead fans great, and to have air conditioning on the first floor really provided relief on the very hottest of days. We absolutely loved our time here. Cathy was so helpful and available for anything we needed. The kitchen is perfectly stocked with any dish or cooking utensil. Love the sit-around island. The living room is great and comfortable for relaxing at the end of the day. The beds are so comfortable and having additional bathrooms is a real plus. It's such a quiet location with beautiful greenery through every window, but just moments to the fun and busy heart of Old Orchard. We're looking so forward to coming back. A real treasure.
