Friendly and relaxed place with just what you needed.

We feel very lucky to have found this property on booking. A wonderful location, about a 20 minute walk to city center. The area is nice and quiet. There are some really nice bakeries nearby, good price and quality. The wifi works great. The kitchen had pots and pans, etc for those who like cooking. We always felt very safe both in the guesthouse and walking back from the city, even at night. A few minutes from the guesthouse there is a park with exercise equipment and a great view of the city. Talking about the view....the view from the top floor of the guesthouse is incredible, 'Bella Vista' :D The 3 small dogs at the property are adorable, always happy to see guests come back. The owners and staff all very helpful and friendly. Next time in Cuenca, we will definitely come back here :D

Ricardo was very friendly and welcoming. Let us check in early after a night bus which is always a blessing. Good well equipped, open kitchen. Comfortable bed and good shower. And the warm welcomes from the little dogs and cat.

Thin walls in the backpacker area but there wasn't too much noise and still amazing value for money. As they explain there are more premium rooms with solid walls available.

We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the staff are friendly. The walk to the centre is pleasant. They have the cuest cat!

Our room opened out to the kitchen. We kept the window shut to keep smells out. However, this made the room very hot so a fan would have been great. The toilet rolls are of bad quality and they run out quickly so we had to ask for a new one every day.

The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. I loved the location in a nearby neighborhood to the historic city center.

The two brothers are kind, friendly, and helpful. They have the type of personality needed to run a hostel. The room was private. Kitchen area was useful.

This place has a really beautiful energy. The owner is warm hearted and accommodating. I slept very well in my room and honestly, for the price, you won't find anything nicer!

The room was spacious and comfortable, so provided good rest :) Also the bathrooms.were always clean, no issues there.

It's very cold in the kitchen, especially in the mornings. So be prepared and wear properly when going there ;)

We really liked the location, from the common room you have a beautiful view of cuenca. All the facilities where there and it was clean. If we had questions or anything we could always ask. We would totay recommend this place. The rooms are indeed noisy as read in other reviews but since we knew this in advance it wasn't a problem.

First of all I need to say the review corresponds to the "Backpacker Area". Before booking it, I had seen from other users that walls were thin and it could be a bit loud. I didn't care much, luckily I don't have problems to fall sleep. BUT It is not that the walls are thins, they are NOT walls, they are some wood panels that even do not reach the ceiling. It is not only that you hear your neighbor closing the zipper of the back... you also get the light in the room... You can hear everyone like if they were in your room. Interestingly the host always answers (to other travelers that have reviewed the accommodation) that this is the problem when you look for a budget (cheap?) accommodation. And NO, I don't agree. You always expect to have a good rest, that's critical when you travel. When you backpack or look for a budget accommodation, you don't expect luxury, you don't need a TV in your room or a fridge and you are open to share the bathroom. But you expect to be able to rest and sleep... And here... it can be challenging... this is more like a dorm with some wood panels between the beds. The problem is that people won't realize how loud they can be... until the neighbor sneezes...

My little private room next to the terrace (with a nice view over Cuenca) was so cozy. The owners of this place are just so warm-hearted and helpful that you feel at home immediately. Also they have two very small and cute dogs.

The wooden floors are quite noisy when people walk in the hallway but all in all it‘s a very confortable place to stay.
