Great communication, great location, a perfect family vacation. The only "issue" was with the cleanliness of the house when we first arrived. It almost seemed like the cleaners forgot to clean: (i.e. we swept up a pile of sand, plasticware etc. in just the kitchen area and food wrappers were found under the beds in 1 room.) Other than that - absolutely wonderful!

We absolutely loved our stay here, and the owner Rich is top notch. He's possibly the most kind and responsive owner we've ever dealt with, and if we need a house this size in the future, I wouldn't hesitate a moment to book this one again. I've truly never seen a house stocked with more small appliances and different kinds of utensils, even if the knives could use a little sharpening, as with most rentals where guests may not have always taken the best care. It was easy to prepare meals with a gorgeous view of the beach, and the rooms were all very comfortable. The master suite has a fantastic view, and even a table and 2 chairs where you can relax in private. The deck and huge picnic table were perfect for socially distanced lunches, and there was plenty of beach equipment to take down the brand new walkway to enjoy the sand and sun. I'm so pleased that we chose this house, and would do it again in a heartbeat.

We were "tickled pink" to be able to stay at this Garden City Beach House. Our family of nine loved the house and the location. The house is well kept, very clean and nicely decorated. We had everything we needed for our week's stay and would love to visit again another time. The owner was wonderful to work with!

We had a particularly rough year . We all had Covid and it took my husband who had planned this trip. We decided to keep our plans in his honor. The location, the house ,the amenities were all first rate. Rich White was a great host to deal with. We would love to stay there again!

My husband and I and our two daughters and their young families recently stayed a week at the beach house. It was a beautiful experience! The house was the perfect size and very clean and in excellent condition. The beach, right outside our back door, was awesome. The community is very family oriented and close to everything! Rich, the owner, was wonderful to work with via phone, texts, and email.....such a kin, caring, thoughtful man. Overall, our vacation was perfect!!!

Property was great. Plenty of cooking utensils, pots, pans, glasses, coffee makers', etc.

This place was great for our family! Plenty of room for everyone with everything you can think of in the kitchen! The owner was excellent from start to finish and checked on us while we was there via text message asking if everything was to our liking! He also was very helpful with information on dining and family fun! If you are looking for a bit of paradise located directly on the beach don’t hesitate to rent this little piece of paradise!

From the initial communication with the property owner to the time we checked out, we had a great experience. The location of this house was awesome! There were 42 footsteps from the door to the sand. It was peaceful sitting on the covered deck so close to the ocean. We enjoyed the picnic table on the deck too! House is spacious and accommodated our family of adults with ease. Some of the TVs were dated, but we didn’t come to watch TV so that was not a negative for us! House was super clean when we arrived which was very important to us. Owner checked on us a couple times via text which we appreciated. Highly recommend.

Amazing location and views from the back deck! Gorgeous sunrise and the house is in a perfect beachfront location. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to cook meals in. It was very clean and spacious. The owner was nice and communicated all of the details very well. We cant wait to come back!!

This property was perfect for our group of 8 adults. Excellent location. Plenty of space on the beach for social distancing but still close to rest and grocery stores. Our host was great with communication and addressing some minor issues. We would definitely return.

We have had excellent experiences with all owners whenever we rent via VRBO, but Rich was above and beyond. From the very first first email, it was a joy and exceeded my every expectation. Thank you! The house and location were just the getaway we all needed, and despite being the point of landfall for Hurricane Isais during our stay, we felt safe and very well taken care of. I would absolutely recommend this VRBO.

Everything we needed and more! We had such a great time and this home has room for everyone… Inside while relaxing, eating, sleeping as well as outside on the deck which was partially covered and provided wonderful afternoon breezes. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything including coffee makers for a whole pot and a Keurig for singles. Owner was very receptive and when Asked about a couple of things during our stay and so pleasant to work with. We really appreciated the early check-in as well!! Would totally stay here again and there’s plenty of room for four vehicles to park under As well as the golf cart we rented!

I can not begin to compliment this property enough! I do not have one complaint! It was very spacious for 5 adults and 8 children. We loved the ocean literally being at the end of walkway from the porch!! The kitchen was well stocked with all supplies, and there was a grill we used a few nights. We loved the super large picnic table on the deck and most of our meals were actually eaten there. The pier is a 1.4 mile walk down the beach and was a great place to hang out a few nights with live bands! All the beds were super comfy in spacious bedrooms. The master was fantastic with a wall of windows facing the ocean! This home is located in a row of twelve similar houses with a shared pool. We only went to the pool one day but were impressed how clean and nice it was. Being in the row of houses was also fantastic!! We made friends with a couple of the the houses and shared dinners, hung out, and our children all played together. Although we did this, it is entirely possible to not interact with anyone during your stay if that is what you prefer. We put our umbrellas and chairs down by the beach around 9am each morning and were able to get the area right behind the house. Nobody crowded us or sat in front of us even, which I am used to usually happening. This area of the beach was soo extremely clean and well taken care of and so much less crowded than what we have been used to staying in Myrtle Beach. The water even appears cleaner. The last day we were there, we could walk out to chest level and see our feet. We grabbed some snorkeling gear and were even able to do that which I never thought would be possible within 30 minutes of Myrtle Beach! Lastly, the owner, Rich, is so fantastic! He describes in detail the property and everything you need to know about it. He gives suggestions on things to do and places to go in the area, and most importantly he responds to every question you might have almost immediately. Absolutely the nicest, most helpful man! I was so sad that we had to leave today! I hope we will be able to rent this property in the future! It was perfect!!

This property is an excellent location! Literally the beach is your backyard! We had so much fun hanging on the beach during the day and at night, as well. The owner is sooo nice and helpful. Gave us loads of information on restaurants and things to do. Would definitely stay here again.

Our family stayed in this lovely beach front home for our daughter’s engagement party, house was close to location, and love beach front. Lots of room for everyone and Rich was a wonderful host! He made sure we had a the information we needed ... Great time had by all ~ we will def be back.

We watched the sunrise and dolphins swimming every morning from the deck overlooking the ocean. Plenty of room and amenities inside and amazing access and views outside. Would definitely recommend and will likely stay here again next time we visit. Gracious and accommodating host.

We had our family Thanksgiving vacation with 13 of us & we couldn't have had better accommodations. This house has everything. Rich & Missy are the best. Can't wait to do it again. Thanks for the best vacation.

The kitchen was fully-stocked with everything you could ever possibly need. House was clean and owner was wonderful to work with.

The house could use some minor upgrades, needs some small things, like more hooks to hang towels, small step stool (I was too short to reach bottom of washer), but overall LOVED our vacation there. We had 3 couples and 5 kids ranging from in ages from 3-10. We had 2 local friends stay a couple nights. Kitchen got a bit tight sometimes, but the house fit us well. Upstairs bedrooms are up and out of the way for peace and quiet. Porch is PERFECT, provides a lot of area to hang out in the sun or in the shade, and the best part was being able to walk right out to the beach. Its not like one of the houses that say 'right on the ocean', but it takes you 10 minutes just to walk the boardwalk and past dunes, this really is right on the ocean, a perfect distance to enjoy high and low tides, and not over-crowded. Owner was more than responsive anytime we needed something or had a question. I highly recommend it!

Great property at a great location. Girls trip was perfect at Portofino IV. The owner is very proactive and involved in your stay with helpful tips & pointers as well as being very receptive to your concerns & questions. Having 5 bedrooms and 4 baths made the girls trip perfect with everyone having a little bit of privacy and great gathering places. Book this location you won't be disappointed !
