Pratique pour une courte étape non loin du terminal de bus - 15 min de marche.
Le prix le plus bas qu'on ait trouvé pour une chambre... On comprend vite pourquoi

This accommodation was good option for us. We were surprised how many pets the owner has. Staying with so many pets it is nice.
Woman helped with spinning our clothes.
Due to animals you have to count that dogs sometimes bark at night. Due to animal the floor was dirty.

The property is big and nice, with a beautiful patio.
The owner Jose, she’s a nice and interesting person, I spend hours speaking with her about a lot of cultural and social things.
I liked everything

Nice spot not far from the bus terminal for a nights stay in David. Owner was helpful with recommendations. Reasonable facilities to cook in.
Not a problem for me, but you must like animals as they are everywhere (the owner does state this). Rooms were very hot even with fans on and windows open, in part, from having to keep doors shut to keep animals out.

Good value for money compared to other hostels but women staff is very not polite even strange.
The woman who holds the hostel was very strange… We asked her if we could leave our luggages at the hostel during the day so that we could visit the city and get our bags back at the end of the afternoon to catch the bus. She told us that it will not be her responsibility if there is a problem with our stuffs or if someone steals anything, we told her ok there is no problem and to have a proof that she does not bear any responsibility, she asked us to send her a message on WhatsApp to specify that we leave our stuffs. 3 hours later, she sent us a WhatsApp message saying "unacceptable". We didn't understand and got worried about this message, we went straight back to the hostel and she told us that she was not keeping the bags under any circumstances, even though she had told us in the morning that we could leave them but that she was not responsible for them. She started threatening to call the police for no reason, told us that we were "disgusting" and then started filming us without saying a word. This Quebec woman is very very strange so beware and we totally advise you not to go to her hostel even if it is a good value for money.

very cheap and a very interesting and nice owner.
cats and dogs everywhere makes the place appear dirty. I’m not allergic; but I left sooner than I had planned because of the animals.

The hotel is in a residential neighborhood in David. The area is quiet.
The owner provides guest with either paid laundry service or free plastic containers and a sink with 2 basins where you can manually wash your clothes for free. I brought my own laundry detergent so I saved on having to pay for laundry washing. The owner has several clothes lines to dry your laundered items.
The owner was pleasant but not as friendly as I have experienced at many other hostels in Panama.
I arrived on the 4th day of Carnaval, consequently many stores and restaurants were still closed. I finally found an open restaurant, after taking a long walk to get to it.
The kitchen lacked bread knives. I had to butter my toast using a small serrated cutting knife.

The dorms were fine. Comfortable beds. Fans.
There were way too many people staying here including about 15 Haitian refugees sleeping in the hammocks and on foam pads in the kitchen, hallway, etc. So, bathrooms are overcrowded. The woman who runs this house is very nice but frazzled. She needs a full time assistant

Good location, short walk from the bus station. Host was helpful, especially with advice to coordinate onward bus travel to Costa Rica (Tracopa). Didn't use the kitchen, except to make coffee in the morning. Tap water is potable. Clean sheets on the bed. There were fans in the bedroom to mitigate the heat and humidity.
I didn't mind the dogs or cats at the hostel, they were generally well-behaved. But, when I went to bed I was eaten by bugs. Based on experience, I don't believe that these were mosquitos, bed bugs, or chiggers but likely fleas, with flat red itchy welts that should disappear in five days. Had to take some Benadryl in the morning to mitigate the itching.

This hostal does supply what you basically need. It got me safely in an out of Davivid with shower and a night's sleep, not far from the bus station.
Unfortunately I got a lot of insect bites here and an allergic reaction that bothered me for some days after. There are a lot of pets. Use insect repellant.

close to bus terminal
nice owner
quiet cheap
you need to prepare that in the hostel there are many animals and there is not nice smell so if you don't like animals which come to your room and lie on ur bed then that's not a place for u
air-conditioning- I didn't see that info when i was booking that place (maybe my fault )
there is air-conditioning but extra paid... (10$)
so be prepare for that

Friendly and comfortable environment. Close to the bus station. The lady owner was a dear.
The location was residential, without sidewalks, but only about a 10 minute walk from town.

Friendly, helpful host, safe, secure, fans and air-con in dorm, hammocks and seats in courtyard, a lot of cats and dogs but friendly!
Only 1 ring on stove works.

The hostel was super clean - I don’t know if the people who left the reviews saying it’s dirty stayed at a different place. There were 4 dogs and many cats (which I loved!) but for the people who don’t like pets I don’t think it would be a big issue as they are well behaved and don’t come to you unless you go to them.
The owner was lovely and helpful. I would definitely stay again.
I was the only one staying at the dorm and it would have been nice to meet other travellers but it’s not the hostel’s fault. Also I experienced pretty bad catcalling on the way to the supermarket (I’m a female solo traveller) but again not the hostel’s fault.

Close to bus station, but take a cab if you arrive after dark (the walk is a little sketchy). Kind owner. good price.
Eaten alive by mosquitoes and hot rooms. Not anything going on there, but many travelers seem to use it as a 1 night spot. highly recommend to install mosquitonets.

The host Jose was so hospitable. Additionally, it was a nice hostel, a bit small, but very nice. There were hammocks to hang out in a covered space since we were there during the rainy season.
The kitchen was a bit lackluster and seemed to have many broken appliances. While I knew that the hostel allowed pets I did not realize that the owner herself owned a significant number of pets. My allergies were a bit through the roof the first night because of this lack of communication. Additionally the bathrooms were something to be desired. In my room the sink was broken and we were not allowed to put toilet paper into the toilet. There was also no hot water (although that would not stop me from staying here again). The price when compared to other hostels is a bit high considering it was $12/night whereas other hostels are $12 for both nights I would stay. Finally, the location was something to be desired. Since there are very few ubers in David we had to walk each time we wanted to go to the city which was at least 10 minutes away. Could be great for people looking to relax, but I was looking for adventures and good times.

host was friendly and has lots of info for attractions nearby (hikes, cascades, transportation, etc). The dogs and cats were also friendly if you’re an animal lover

If you book the two person room, you get two twopersonbeds, so if you dont like to be close to your partner, this is the place to go.
Would've liked to know beforehand that there would be a bunch of cats and dogs at the location. You get a message after you booked stating that, but it should be said beforehand. If you like airco, you have to pay extra. Everything felt old and kind of dirty. We booked the 2 person room, but to use the bathroom we had to walk in the dorm and use that one.

I loved it. The dogs and cats are so sweet and it’s such a comfy and cozy place

+ comfortable and big beds
+ lovely animals!
- access to bathroom was through another room (dormitory), which is a bit awkward, especially in the night
- the room gets really warm and it's hard to get a good sleep, even with the fans on

The Landlady attitude is very unacceptable and rude. I had to leave early in the morning and the Lady was not willing to open the door for me when I needed. She said she will not wake up for everybody to open the door, and there is no option for self check-out. She said I have two option: I leave very early with 3 other guests at 4:30 am. or I leave after 7, because she will not wake up meanwhile and the door will be locked. So I had to leave very early with the others and then wait 1 hour at the bus station between 5-6 am in the morning, just because I couldn't leave the hostel on the time I needed. Its not an attitude in a hostel, the host have to arrange the check-out for every guests. I was also a guest who paid for the room, but she was only care of the two other guest needs of sleeping longer in the room and scoled me and the other 3 guests beacuse of the early check-out. When I arrive to the hostel, and I say I need to leave early in the morning she was telling me for half anhour how much I am incorrect because I will make noise in the room and do not let the others sleeping. I should rent a pivate room because its not nice to book a dormitory room if I need an early check-out. I am sorry to say that but I think that Lady is a bit silly.
Dormitory room is exactly about that: have a cheap price with less comfort which includs also that other guest are arriving late, leaving early, make noise, or snoring etc. If a guest do not want this low-comfort and need a calm room, those guest should book a private room. But apart from that it's not acceptable form a landlady will not allow the guest to leave when they need it. If she do not want to wake up, she should arrange the possibility for self- check-out.

Easy Accommodation for a stopover. The room can be quite tight as it fits almost 8 people. The owner has a few dogs, but being a dogperson I liked that, also a big communal outside space.

Somebody already wrote that you have to love dogs and cats staying here. That's true and you don't have to think your fine with that only because you are okay with animals. I like animals but it was a bit too much... The cats are allowed to jump on the tables and everything. The owner really want to stay everything clean and nice but with the animals this is not possible...
By check in you get a towel and soap. The showers are only cold. Bathroom and rooms, kitchen is clean. You can use pretty nice pans, salt and peoper is there. Ko toaster, no water cooker. Only a few knifes... Good wifi and good tips for traveling from the owner.
I wrote everything on the top. So you can read.

We had a really great time at this hostel. José, who runs the place, is a kind, honest and good-hearted person. We had really meaningful conversations with her and felt like home. Her home is full of cute dogs and cats which we loved very much and added a lot to our experience there. José is an excellent cook and even shared some yummy food with us which saved our lives as we couldn't find a shop open on a Sunday evening. The proximity to the main bus terminal was very convenient. I could go on and on to say more positive things but check it yourself and have a good time relaxing in the hammock at the back porch while petting some adorable dogs :)
