Brilliant location in the heart of Stockbridge, great garden, great food

Lovely pub/hotel with great location. Very comfortable and clean room if a little on the small side but to be expected with an old pub in keeping with the rest of the high street. Would certainly stay here again. Exceptionally nice breakfast all freshly cooked and very hot.

The room wasn’t much bigger than a wardrobe … it had a slopped ceiling , which was really uncomfortable when your 6 ft, and very little floor space .
To walk around the bed with such little room along with and luggage was a near impossibility. Finally
to be woken at 6 am .. on a Sunday morning from noise below ( bar area) was very disappointing to day the least . If your booking here make sure it’s NOT room 8 !!

Our room was very, very small. No where to sit and relax in the bar/ restaurant. Ceilings very low in restaurant.

We were dealt with well when we arrived.
The room was freezing when we arrived. We expected that it would be better when we got in that evening but there was no heating at all in either the bedroom or bathroom during the evening or morning which made our stay uncomfortable and cold. This was a real pity as everything else was good.

A lovely, old coaching inn property with all the character that age brings. The owners clearly take care to keep the rooms in good condition and all were also friendly and helpful. A good cooked breakfast too!
