I was in Jamaica and had fun with friends. The Catamaran trip was fun. The drinks when asked were sufficient. The sushi restaurant was good.

The facilities were outdated and plenty of places/restaurants did not have air. The food was not good at all, less than desirable! The pool did not provide towels after 5 , unacceptable if its still sunny outside. Did not get complimentary wine. All of the restaurants were terrible except the sushi, jerk shack, and mariner.

Even the cheapest room was very nice, peaceful and comfortable and closer to the beach than the posher rooms with butlers. Everything was very efficient and well organised. Staff were very friendly. Water so clear and beautiful and enjoyed the included snorkelling trip. Enormous resort so lots of options where to eat or drink. The Speakeasy bar was great with singers there and the Latitudes bar surrounded by the sea. Organised trips also good. Airport transfer extremely smooth.

Restaurants weren’t exactly fine dining including the ones with a dress code. Food was good but not wow. Many bars ran out of triple sec needed for margaritas. Too much loud techno beat music for us. The main pools were very raucous at times. There are silent pools but they are a bit too silent with no bar. We would prefer something in between.

The mostly friendly staff made the stay tolerable. Heavily advertising premium Liquors while they're mostly only available for purchase. Rot got vodka offered in the room.

Very concerning that they consider Stolichnay a premium liquor. Property obviously in desperate need of an overhaul. We are fortunate that we had wonderful weather for the week. The breakfast needs help. They want you to sit down and start eating before they bring you coffee. Friendly but slow. Omelets were good. Orange juice not fresh. Sandals should serve better. Definitely not what I expected staying at Sam's. Pools not cleaned well. I could go on but I think I've conveyed my point.

The location was ideal. Close to dunns river falls and dolphin cove. Always felt safe.

Did not feel luxurious like a 5 star hotel. No alcohol drinks in rooms. No bedroom slippers, no robes. The food wasn't amazing. Expensive (lobster/ steak) ingredients but not cooked well. Some of the staff not as friendly as expected.
