There was milk and biscuits in the fridge when we arrived. It was so comfortable snug and well appointed. Lovely countryside location but close to local shops by car.

Lovely accommodation with all amenities. Cooker, dishwasher, washing machine (small extra charge) microwave and Tassimo coffee machine. TV included Netflix, which gave extra choices, especially over the Christmas period. Bed comfortable and bathroom en-suite. Very enjoyable stay. As we were scouting the area with a view to moving there it was convenient for all the major locations as well. Would definitely stay there again.

Weather!

Lovely location, vey good reviews which I will add to. As a ‘senior’ lady on my own I appreciated being independent but found ‘Gill’ so helpful but not intrusive. The property is very clean all Covid regs adhered to but nice and cosy.

This is a very clean, tidy property of a really nice size for two in a great location for the western Cotswolds.The owners are very friendly and conscientious. There is a very generous range of appliances, of good quality including a decent fridge/freezer, microwave, charging station, fan, smart TV etc, very good shower and a comfortable bed. There was also an unexpected and equally generous “starter“ supply of teas (plural), Coffee, sugar, milk and even chocolate digestives! The village is quiet and picturesque, yet is handily close to Stroud itself. The property has a great view to the west and Severn Valley and the looming hill behind (five minutes drive around to the top if you don’t fancy the steep footpath climb) offers even better views. There is even a freshwater spring 200m away, along Broad Street towards Stroud, which we sampled - and for which there was occasionally a queue of people filling bottles. And yes, at 0640hrs on the Wednesday, there was a Roe deer doe trotting across the drive…

Only that we couldn’t stay longer this time! we hope to be able to go back soon.

Location was perfect for doing the Cotswold Way. The view was a bonus. Very comfortable accommodation which was a delight to come back to at the end of the day. Gill was very generous with the extras on arrival like tea coffee, milk, biscuits, sugar etc.

Very clean and well looked after, had a selection of chargers for phones and tablets etc. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a large walk in shower with no step. The lounge had a good sofa and a table and desk and a small table in the kitchen were we ate.

Did not use the washing machine as there was a £15 charge which I couldn't quantify. There is a sharp turn up a hill to the property and this is a blind turn onto the road when departing so one of us would get out of the car and see us out safely. This is not the owners fault but should be mentioned.

Property owner was very flexible to our request to change arrival date at the last minute. Communication was excellent throughout and she was very helpful. Location is great for walking and views of the surrounding area. Accommodation was spacious for 2 people and had everything we needed. Short bus ride into Stroud for shopping etc. Perfect for a short-break to get away from it all.

This is a great property in every respect. Very comfortable, with lovely outdoor areas and gorgeous views. The area is good for walking (direct from the property), with Selsley Common just behind the house and beautiful scenery and villages all around. It's easily reached from the M5. We just had a weekend but would happily stay for a week or more - there's plenty to see and do in the area. Gill is very welcoming and we felt very confident about the care she is taking to make the property Covid-safe, including allowing 75 hours between lettings. We highly recommend and will definitely be back!
