We absolutely enjoyed our 3 weeks at this cozy casita. You have privacy and quiet (although you could hear a bit of noise from the highway but just a bit, not enough to bother us at all).
There is a queen bed in one room and a very comfortable daybed in the 2nd bedroom.
We loved seeing the sun come up over the mountains in the morning and set over the mountains in the other direction in the evening. Hard to beat the desert colours!
Tubac was a few minutes drive away and there's always something going on! Check out Elvira for the best authentic Mexican food (and amazing decor!). The de Anza trail right out of Tubac was a beautiful walk, as are so many other trails close by. Tumacacori mission is just a few mins away. Many interesting historical spots around here.
Madeline and Karen were responsive to any questions and very helpful.
Highly recommend if you're looking for a peaceful spot that is close to many different things to see and do.

This casita in a quiet little neighborhood near Tubac was perfect for our 3 week stay. We had everything we needed to be perfectly comfortable and the view of the Santa Rita Mts. was fantastic.

Wonderful Tubac Retreat
Our stay in Tubac couldn’t have been better. This is a great place to stay. Host is attentive and accommodations are perfect in the beautiful desert.

Tranquil getaway
Quiet and relaxing. Host was very engaged, helpful and quick to respond to queries. Location was perfect … easy access to highway, and close to town (~5 min) and golf course (~8 min). Lots of birds in morning and evening and beautiful view of mountains from back porch area (in shade during late afternoon). Scary dark at night (dark skies area) but great if you like to stargaze and have a flashlight. Property had all comforts of home and felt very safe. Would definitely return.

Perfect place!
Clean, charming and cozy house: all the comforts of home, attractive décor, and somewhere you actually WANT to spend time. Quiet setting and nestled in to the landscape. Lots of birds to watch around the house.
Great location: feels remote, yet close to town and conveniently situated between Patagonia and Madera Canyon for day trips.
Madeline was great! She responsive and accommodating. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer.

I've been renting for almost 2 month and I can say its very quiet and comfortable place, and the plus of being surrounded by nature. Well equipped in every room, full kitchen, living room is nice and comfortable too. Madeline its very helpfull and considerated, will definitely come back again in the future.

Birding trip
Spent 6 nights at this cute casita. Great location for our day trips around the area. House had everything we needed. Some things could use upgrading like the ragged rugs in the bathroom. All in all very nice trip. We would stay here again.

A great birding base!
We stay every year in Arizona at 2 different places each for 6 weeks. Our little ranch house was sold in August 2018 after 5 years and we had to scramble to get another place and we picked this guest house. It worked out lovely. The house is great and Madeline was on top of everything. She was Wonderful! We hope to stay again.

Perfect little home away from home!
We loved this cute guest home. Comfortable living and sleeping spaces and kitchen is well equipped for cooking if you prefer to stay in. Close to town. And to top it off Madeline was an awesome host and answered all of our questions! Can't wait to visit again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, Madeline kept us informed about anything going on around the property, and made sure we had whatever was needed. We would highly recommend this cozy guesthouse, great location for winter “snowbirds”, lots of areas to explore, & great hiking nearby.

Lovely stay
This is a very cute guest cottage, located in a private spot in a large property. The owner lives in the larger house nearby, so is very close in case of questions or problems, although we had none of the latter!. We found the house well-stocked with tp, paper towels, dishwashing soap, and those other necessaries that are so nice to have around. When I inquired about coffee, the owner went and bought us some to have while we were there - way above and beyond. Some lovely walks in the neighborhood and lots of rabbits and jack rabbits around. All and all, a terreific place to stay.

Great Guest House in Tubac, Arizona
From the moment we drove up to the Guest House it was so wonderful. Madeline, who owns the property, met us at the house. She was so very accommodating. The Guest House was exactly as described. It is all open and has a much larger feel although it is not small at all. It was very well stocked with everything. If we needed something it was there in a snap. Located very close to Tubac and all the wonderful shops. You certainly won’t go wrong staying there, We look for it to be booked all the time.

Wonderful cozy home
We were the first VRBO guests at this place and it was wonderful. Home was clean with lots of amenities. It’s so nice to arrive and have basics like TP, paper towels, soap, etc waiting for you. A variety of ways to make coffee including a keurig. Incredibly comfortable bed, lovely couch to curl up on and great view. Very quiet and owner is near by and happy to answer any questions. Tubac and it’s fun grocery store (they have this amazing chocolate cream filled eclair) are easy to get to. Plenty of freedom to hike or ride bikes. Can’t wait to come back. This place is tremendous value for the cost.
