incredibly noisy - I hardly slept it felt as though someone was continually moving around upstairs and every movement echoed

FoxHouse was one of my favourite places to stay in Plymouth pre-covid, and it's still very good. It's great value, very clean, bright nice sized rooms with cooker, microwave, fridge etc. There's a laundry room available too. The bed was very comfortable and nice big windows. Excellent location between the city and the sea, close to some good places to eat.

The only problem was the lack of a blackout blind or curtains. When I've stayed in the past, there were blackout blinds so I was disappointed (and sleepless!) - the slatted blinds look very nice but they don't filter out most of the very bright lights just outside, which stay on all night as it is in the city centre and next to a main road and roundabout. It's also pretty noisy at the front of the building even on the first floor, but that would not be an issue for me if the light wasn't a problem.

Lovely and warm and very welcoming, great place to stay while in Plymouth.

Perfect location and facilities for what we needed

The ceiling fan in our room was extremely noisy with no way of turning it off

Well maintained and very well managed. Kingsize bed with lovely fresh quality bedding. Very good facilities including bathroom, fridge and kitchenette. Very central to walk up on the Hoe, or to Barbican for restaurants, or to shopping centre. Excellent check in and response to queries.

Parking was difficult to fathom as info provided by host was out of date. We paid 2 pounds to get us to 8pm, then 4 pounds till 9am the next morning. The signs on the machine did not mention that overnight was only 4 pounds. Needs clarifying. Hand shower only, and not very powerful, but understandable with the current pricing of energy.

Rang the call bell and a very nice gentleman let myself and my partner in and handed us the keys

I was pleasantly surprised by this room/apartment. It was very clean, well equipped and very good value for money. Just what I needed for a bolt hole in the city for a couple of days.

The room did get overly warm at times (it was on the 3rd floor) and I couldn't see any air-conditioning.
