Amazing location and good guided directions to find it. The room was incredible and a cozy fireplace included. On-site restaurant provided meals of a good standard and the spa facilities were brilliant. Very relaxing stay with the day excursions, overall!

There was some confusion about the cost (I ended up paying $20 more than the advertised price, so there must have been some error as it was already discounted and booking.com were discounting on top of that, which was not honored by the hotel). Also I thought 'breakfast included' was for both mornings of my stay, but it was only for the value of one breakfast. Finally, there was some difficulty getting hot flowing water to fill the jacuzzi tub in the room which is totally normal in Ecuador, but with some help from the very accommodating staff they were able to fix it!

The landscape, the food, overall the good service and the mystic forest. It also had very comfortable beds and warm rooms. The jacuzzi was very nice and the massage session was actually good. There is a nice common space for all the guests to hang out and play some games, watch a movie or simply enjoy a warm chimney with warm and hot beverages

A few days prior to my arrival I sent an email asking if I could easily get there with a small car or if I needed a big one. I had no response and went with a small car. It was very difficult and even risky to go on a small car. There is no warning or recommendation to go on a big car anywhere. Furthermore there was miss communication between front desk and the spa staff. Fortunately that turned out for the best, as the front desk staff helped us to clear out some pricing errors. However that was after complaining for about 30 minutes.

Great location, perfect place to explore El Angel reserve. Unique polylepis forest.

Massage in spa was not so great.
