Great place in a small village at the end of Lake Como. Downstairs is a nice local pub. Amazing fresh breakfast at the terrace with the perfect view! Free parking around the corner.

No restaurant in walking distance so eat something before arrival or you can have some sandwitches at the bar.

Small establishement run by absolutely the friendliest couple you could imagine! They chat to guests, are happy to help with anything, and give great recommendations on what to see around Lake Como, just superb hosts. The room was actually really cute and even a bit bigger than expected. From the pictures I was at first a bit worried about the length of the single bed since it has a metal frame at both ends, but it was actually perfectly doable for someone my height (1.88m/6"2). The location right on the lake is really beautiful and being on the main road just across the street from the train station makes it really easy to get around.

The only thing I can think of is the bedding - perhaps the pillow could be a bit more substantial or a second one could be added to the bed. Personally I also would have preferred the duvet being put into a duvet cover and thus being completely enclosed by sheets, as opposed to laying just on top of a sheet from where it will slide off during the night. Obviously different styles of bedding are popular across different countries, so this is just a personal preference.

The owners run a bar Downstairs and all the locals come in. Their clients clearly love them. The accommodation is really nice and in summer you can have your breakfast across the road, right on the lake. The picture of the outside doesn't do justice to quality of the accommodation upstairs, which is much newer.

When you first arrive it's not clear where to park. Just park anywhere and go inside and ask where you can park.

Place with beautiful view outside. Tran station on the other side of the road (but it's very quiet), so you can easly travel to other cities like Varenna or Chiavenna. Hosts are really nice and helpful. Breakfasts were also delicious. I can highly recommend that place for your stay around lake como, you'll not regret.

we used public transport which was very close (not noisy) but you need to watch out because many trains skip Dorio.

The hosts are fantastic! Very polite and helpful. They really care about their guests. Delicious breakfast served at the terrace with an overwhelming view of the lake and mountains makes your start to a day even better. Dorio is definitely a place for introverts (like me! ). When you want to avoid crowds, love nature and silence or want simply to write a book or poem then Dorio is the right place for you too 🙂 I have had a wonderful time and would love to come again.

The one and only thing I was missing in the room was a fridge.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The room was super clean and the water pressure in the shower was good. The place is close to the train station in a more relaxed part of Lake Como. We were very pleased with our stay and would return!

in general the rating was fake! 1-breakfast was very ordinary even without fresh bread. for example the croissant was a freeze product from super market and definitely not bakery. no fresh juice (it was from super market), the yoghurt (40mm little cup), when you say the breakfast rating is 9,6 and the quality is maybe 6,5. 2- the pictures on booking indicate that the balcony is part of the hotel yard as if you can reach it via hotel and go from there to the lake! non of them is accessible directly from balcony. you have to take 30 steps and go beyond the train station to reach the beach (lake side! no beach actually directly located there) 3-for this amount of money it’s overprice and expensive! I could do better with the same money but the rating on booking.com mislead and misguided me. I don’t get how from 223 opinions in general 150 of them gave a big 10 to this place! it’s just unbelievable for me. this breakfast is not even ,,gut,, let alone ,,super,, ,,Ausgezeichnet,, I took many pictures and I will upload them here! we drive more than 800 km for the quality which is not existed. just for other guest as an information: you can not sweep in lake Como, or better not to do that, the water quality and 450 meters deep is tricky. in the Como city you are not allowed to go to the water. I didn’t get why many people ,,internet users,, gave this place 10 from 10! how often in your life you give something 10 out of 10! it rings some bells in mind actually. the hotel with 8 or 9 rating is something else, the breakfast with 9 something rating is something else. for the breakfast they ask you what you want and we ordered literally everything including cheese, ham, juice, coffee, croissants, butter, marmalade (that was all actually) see the pictures for the balcony you have to cross a street. at the end I would say it could be normal for normal price but the rating claims something very good (9) which is not true or maybe 9 in that specific street!

We arrived on a Tuesday evening and they close early on a Tuesday.

The room was very clean. The owner was so friendly. We had to leave very early on the morning to hike, so he prepared us a packet breakfast, it was so nice of him. Calm beach is just 2 min from the room, on the other side of the road.

There was no view from the room, but it was not a problem for us.
