Location
Bit noisy in room from the next room could do with better sound insulation but no noise from downstairs
4.1
Very clean and newly refurbished
I felt at ease travelling on my own
It was all good

The hotel is stunning, food really good, comfy beds, staff were lovely and friendly. It was clean and inviting. The view from our room was glorious, just a shame the sun wasn't shining. Not far from Zip World and offered a welcomed rest after climbing Snowdon that day
The king room we booked was lovely but the bathroom was tiny! No bigger than a small downstairs toilet in a residential house! I feel the £180 we paid for the room was very steep despite it being a nice hotel. Stayed in more spacious rooms for less.

On having our evening meal and went to pay cash we were told no cash after that meal so will not be going back as you should expect all who is willing to pay no matter what way 😟

Beautifully renovated, comfortable rooms
There was no hot water in the morning & no manager on site

Excellent.
The fruit pots when opened squirted juice onto table and us each morning!
Otherwise excellent. Very good avocado and poached egg.
Fruit pots. See above.

Excellent
Room one was very nice but ventilation was very poor and will be an issue during the Summer particularly for guests with disabilities

I have waited to write this review hoping that the hotel would resolve our issue but as we have been ignored here we are; first impressions of the hotel were lovely but sadly the ‘fabulous’ breakfast was non existent, the first morning we waited an hour and a half only to be served a cold cooked breakfast and the second morning we were ignored for 45 minutes so we gave up and came home we were promised a refund for a breakfast which hasn’t materialised nor have our calls been returned, extremely disappointing as I really wanted to say only good things about this hotel.

Room, food, location - all lovely
Having to leave!

View and outdoor terrace amazing. Breakfast very good. Decor very nice
Extremely small portions of salad and veg, know staff are new as it is new opening but did not see them getting professional guidance and some lacked a basic understanding of customer service

The reception staff were very friendly and really helpful.
Absolute credit to the hotel.
The room was a little dated and basic but ok for a short stay

Excellent staff, great location, good breakfast
The room was very tired. There is a major refit planned for later in 2022. The price was high considering the state of the room.

the staff are great. excellent location in the centre of Menai bridge
the hotel is closing in 2 weeks time as it is being taken over and a refurbishment is taking place. Only 6 rooms were in use at the time of our stay. We felt that the price did not reflect this and they should have told us at the time of booking. Very scruffy throughout and you could hear everything through the wall to the next bedroom - from flushing toilets to running showers and conversations.
The saving grace was the staff - who were all lovely. It genuinely felt like they were one happy family and I sincerely hope that Green King keep them all on after the take over.

Staff are brilliant
The hotel is very tired and looks dingy in many places. Our room was small and the shower room so small that we ran the risk of burning our bums on the hot towel rail when bending over to get a toilet roll off the floow (the holder was broken).

Perfect stay for a golf away-day with the lads. Can't complain, real good value, friendly staff and stunning views from the beer garden. Not forgetting the ideal location & free parking.
I think it's soon to be refurbished which is understandable but saying that, everywhere is spotlessly clean in the room so no complaints.

Reception staff were really welcoming and helpful

The location and views from the window or better still the balcony. The food was very good. Quantity and quality of food.
Bathroom was too small. Although food was very nice and the location ; it was an expensive stay. The room rate was £120 with breakfast for one double room and one twin room.

The staff were outstanding; friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The cooked breakfast was excellent and couldn’t be faulted. Beautiful location with stunning views and lovely grounds.
The furnishings and decor were very tired and dated. However, the hotel is about to be refurbished and we shall look forward to returning when it is done.

Breakfast very good cooked to your order
No scot whiskey behind bar

breakfast, location and staff
The room was too expensive for its quality level. The furniture was too old and the bathroom was claustrophobic.

I love this hotel. We have been staying there for the last 12 years or so, twice a year. From the back of the hotel and garden there are magnificent views. The staff are excellent. Its lovely and clean. The room we had this time, one we haven't had before, was particularly pleasing.
The price! The hotel is under new ownership and is due to be modernised. Unfortunately although not upgraded materially yet the prices have gone up substantially. Also the gardens are beautiful and I worry that some of the trees and lovely planting may be sacrificed to the vision of the new owners. We shall see, hopefully our fears are unfounded and we will be pleasantly surprised.

Room Ok
Very regimented. Did not eat thee because times were given to you.

The setting and view tremendous but as this was the third time staying at The Victoria knew of its comfort.
However having sadly lain dormant for quite a while, I expected it to be ‘ tired’ and it was. My room was very clean and comfortable but needed an uplift.
Breakfast was good although I wasn’t able to partake of the English Breakfast.
The evening meal was a disappointment, the vegetables appeared to have been cooked hour before and warmed up.
All members of staff I met were generous and full of smiles. They look forward as I do to a wonderful refurbishment. I certainly felt at home there in spite of the difficulties.
The garden was exquisite - thank you Brian, your devotion to its care showed.
As it is part of the green King group, the menu caters to that of pub food. It must be freshly cooked even though food was available from noon.

brilliant location
slightly worn and tired rooms but added to the characters
