The apartment we stayed in was perfectly fitted for us. We thoroughly enjoyed the closet being used for the cutlery as well as the basin for dishes, it would be great however if there was a light in the closet where the basin is.
It's also rigged for loadshedding with a gas geyser and a gas stove top. Which is a tremendous win.
The location is within walking distance from Kwaaiwater, it takes 5 to 10 minutes to walk to either a sunrise or a sunset bench and enjoy the views, or to swim in the ocean, or the river that flows into the ocean. Main road is never quiet though, and the sounds of the road will always be noisy.
Lance was friendly and extremely helpful telling us about everything there is to see and do in and around town. He also checked in to make sure what time we would be arriving as well as let us know that we would be able to check in earlier.
The garden was beautiful and he is very pet friendly. Pote enjoyed the freedom of walking around and sniffing everywhere.
I would definitely recommend a stay 👌

The location was very good and the setting very nice.
The room and bathroom was not properly cleaned, some cutlery were full of dust. The fridge was not clean. I had to buy toiletpaper for the bathroom.

The apartment had everything you need. The hosts were super friendly and gave some great sightseeing recommendations. When soap had run out we could easily ask for a new one. The location was great for walks to the beach or hikes in the mountains. Despite loadshedding, the wifi would keep working. Price/quality is great. Would highly recommend this place!

The location was excellent
Hi. Small things can be attended to - the coffee in the top room was hard. the garden around the house and at the entrance can be zooped up a bit - you get a feeling of untidiness when you enter. Otherwise it was very pleasant - just that the photos made it look better than what it was.

The outlet pipe of the toilet was leaking and an empty ice cream tub was put under it to catch the expelled water. It was full when we arrived and stank. There were only 3 dining chairs although we were 4 people. There were only pots in the kitchen. No pan. There is no electricity backup for load shedding, only candles in empty bottles. One of the bath towels was dirty and had make-up on it from a previous visitor. The place has potential, but needs some serious love and care.

It was very tired. and the curtains had become unhooked from railings and didn't close Things that could have easily been fixed were left not working.

The location was nice - and the host was friendly and explained nice things about the surroundings - and it all had a real local touch (let me say an afrikaner touch)
All was a bit old and from the 60ies and 70iers, a bit clumsy, only a bath no shower, a bit noisy from the road, which added to the local feel - so you can as well give it a positive side... (it felt like visiting my old grandfather in those times)

The road noises can be a issue if you are noise sensitive, but its not too loud and quiet down after 10.30 pm
