Out host, Rosanna, went OUT of her way to make our stay wonderful!

The place is very beautiful and clean. Very good hospitality from Rosanna, Chris and Rambo.

The air-conditioner kept switching on and off.

As a young woman travelling alone to Johannesburg for work, this guest house and its staff were incredible in going the extra mile to ensure my safety, comfort and in feeling very welcome. I would highly recommend Rosanna, her staff and 47 on Preston to anyone needing a place to stay in the Melrose area.

The host was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The security on the property was very good and there was always someone on duty to open the gate. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, had all the necessary amenities including desk space if needed, and the air conditioner worked very well as a heater (our visit was in June). The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms very clean. The dining area was well laid out and comfortable and the food very good. Highly recommended.

I liked the white linen. I liked the spacious room. Area was nice and quiet at night & morning. I liked the sit in breakfast, totally yummy. Rosie kindly upgraded my room at no extra charge. Amazing service Yaay, cherry on top 💃

The coffee provided in the room was hard as a rock. It would help to change containers or opt for sachets instead.

Rozana is the quintessential gold standard for accomodation hosts! Unwavering and untiring service with a permanent, sincere smile, ever gracious and always went out of her way to ensure guest's satisfaction, especially with specialised breakfast meals! A truly warm, humble and fascinatingly interesting person, who will quickly become family to any guest soon into their stay. 47 on Preston is at the top of my shortlist should I require accomodation in Jhb again.
