Dominique's place was terrific. The townhouse is very spacious, clean and lovely. The bedrooms were comfortable and the area very quiet. There were only three of us but this place can comfortably accommodate six people. The weather was a bit chilly when we were there so we weren't able to take advantage of the lovely patio, shared outdoor pool or BBQ but it's all there for when the weather is warm. The location is excellent. Only a 5 minute walk in to the center of Uzes with it's wonderful Saturday market, terrific restaurants and lovely shops. The secure, private parking space was a real bonus since we used Uzes as our home base to visit the neighboring historic sites and wineries. I highly recommend this place.

Tolle Wohnung, entspricht genau der Beschreibung. Sehr ruhig mit schöner Terrasse, Ausstattung bestens, alles war da. Die Lage ist klasse, nur 5 Gehminuten vom Ortszentrum entfernt.

positiv: Sehr gepflegte Residenz, kein Straßenlärm, sehr sonnig (im Sommer müssen die Läden tagsüber geschlossen bleiben), nah zur Innenstadt, nah am Gardon und der Cèze, großer Pool, Tennisplatz, oberes Bad modern, 2 sep. WCs, Küche gut ausgestattet, geschmackvolle Einrichtung, da Maisonette fühlt man sich wie in einem Haus negativ: Terrasse kann mittags nicht gut beschattet werden, unteres Bad ist nur eine Dusche (aber als Fam. kein Problem), 3 Terrassen anderer Bewohner unterhalb der Schlafzimmer - Beeinträchtigungen durch lärmende andere Feriengäste möglich, wir hatten in der 1. Woche leider Pech. Ideal für Familien, wegen der Bäder nicht unbedingt für 2 Paare geeignet, da sehr sonnig ideal im Frühjahr und Herbst.

Nous avons passé deux belles semaines à l’Ancienne Brasserie. L’appartement et la grande terrasse sont aménagés et décorés avec beaucoup de goût. La cuisine est très bien équipée. Cerise sur le gâteau : la très belle piscine.

Excellent à tout point de vue ! Lieu magnifique dans une ancienne brasserie rénovée avec chic. Appartement/maison aménagé avec goûts et soins et très calme ... Emplacement à moins de 10 minutes d'Uzés à pied. Région magnifique, lieu idéal pour des vacances. Très belle découverte. Je recommande vivement l'appartement/maison.

L'appartement à la decoration moderne est spacieux et bien équipé. Sa localisation est idéale : centre d'Uzes à moins de 10 minutes à pieds par une jolie rue piétonne. Départ de la propriété pour des sorties à vélo. Jolie piscine à 2 pas de la terrasse. Les restrictions avec la crise covid ont limité son accès. C'était bien sûr dommage mais nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances. La climatisation serait un plus mais les murs épais aident à conserver un peu de fraicheur. La région est chaude et belle. Nous reviendrons volontiers.

A roomy, quiet, well appointed apartment a short walk from Uzes town center. Being a short walk from town centre allowed everybody in our party (including the drivers) to have a drink with their evening meal, very civilised. The one downside of the apartment is a lack of air conditioning which in August made the property very warm at times.

We could not have spent a better family holiday (2 adults + 2 boys aged 14 and 11). The apartment was beautiful, a real home from home, and we made full use of the pool and tennis court each day. Dominique was most efficient in attending to all our needs.

The property is great. Loads of space for the whole family. A short walk into town to enjoy all the yummy local food. It feels safe, secure and set up for you to unwind and relax. Also close to lots of activities for the whole family. Kayaking down the Gardon, visiting caves or Roman ruins - it’s all there. It is a bit tricky finding the property to start with and navigating the one way system in Uzes - but we worked it out!

We came to Uzès almost by accident last year and absolutely loved the place, a feeling that was only enhanced by our return. This property couldn’t be any better located, the pleasant gated community is quiet with allocated parking and less than 10minutes walk from the restaurants of the central square and the beautiful chaos of the Saturday market, it was still possible to get in and out without hitting the traffic on the central ring road. We were worried by the absence of air conditioning, but even at 32c outside in June, the high ceilings, thick walls & shutters kept the place remarkably cool in the day & at night the pull down mosquito shutter allowed windows to be left wide open. We didn’t use the numerous fans, although I suspect in July or August (when temperatures around 40c aren’t that unusual) they would be vital. Spotlessly clean, bedding, furnishings & linen were remarkably comfortable & in great condition while the kitchen was well appointed set in the appealing open plan dining/lounge area. Good bathroom upstairs with a lovely bath and rainfall shower. Toilets are slightly less perfect, there are two, neither is in a bathroom, neither has a hand basin in the room either (downstairs there is a hand basin outside of the toilet), upstairs you are dependent on there being nobody in the bath or shower next door to use the sink or head down stairs. Even with just two of us, myself & my mother, we found the upstairs arrangements a little awkward in the morning or evening. We didn’t feel the need to use the more basic shower in the living area down stairs, but it would be very useful to larger parties. There are some board games & even a tiny DVD player, but no television in the accomodation, but with tablets & laptops that will be less of an issue for most than it would have been years ago, the Wi-fi was excellent throughout the property. The slightly steep marble staircase might not be to everyone’s liking, while it is beautiful & cool, it isn’t very child friendly. The patio got some sun for most of the day, is comfortable, quite private & twenty steps or so from the attractive looking communal pool, which unfortunately was only just about ready to open when we left. Instead we swum in the Gardon at Collias & in the Mediterranean at La Grande-Motte, instead! Dominique is a friendly host, who dealt with all issues promptly, we only wish we could have arrived a week later or stayed a week longer to enjoy the pool!

A very pleasant stay...I could not rate r the check-in process as we had major flight/travel problems and did not get to the apartment until 8 PM on our arrival day, so we were not able to meet Dominique . (To submit this review, I had to choose a rating so I just choose the lowest one and then tried to explain the situation in this summary! However, she was very helpful during our stay whenever we had a question or request and we did meet her when we had our check-out. The only little quirk is the one bathroom/toilet upstairs for the three bedrooms. When we had friends staying with us, we juggled the bathroom times. But, with good friends, it hardly mattered. I would definitely stay there again as the apartment itself and the location are both very nice.

We loved staying in the Ancienne Brasserie . . . this home seemed larger than it appeared in pictures and we appreciated all of the comforts it provided. The property managers were helpful and responsive. The pool was wonderful, and the location was ideal. We really enjoyed our meals and relaxation on the terrace. We would definitely return!

Lovely bathroom and beds. Sleep was heaven, the nights lovely and tranquil. Spacious and perfect for enjoying cooking, napping and the sun on the lovely private terrace. Minutes to Uzes Centre by foot. Perfect combination of ‘town and country’ . Uzes amazing for food and touring surrounding areas. Great market! Diminique is an excellent manager and went out her way to make our stay perfect! Cant wait to return as soon as possible!

This is a well appointed, warm and very comfortable apartment for a winter holiday.Well furnished, with attractive decoration and comfortable beds. It has a lovely kitchen and bathroom. It is in a great location for walking into and around the town and for visiting nearby historic sites.

A lovely, well equipped and comfortable property, peaceful and just 7-8 minutes walk into the centre of town. Very efficient and friendly managing agent, Dominique. Very happy with our choice.

We stayed at L'Accienne Brasserie the first two weeks of August, our party was 4 adults and one child aged 8. The weather was perfect - 30+ degrees every day, so we visited the pool regularly (which is literally the gate opposite to the gate to the terrace). It was never busy, some days we had it to ourselves even. There are sunloungers provided too by the owner to laze by the pool, and enjoy the peace and quiet. The house is not only beautifully decorated but well equipped. No expense has been spared to make this a lovely place to holiday. The bed linen and towels were excellent quality. When it got too hot to cook inside, we cooked on the huge gas BBQ outside, which was fantastic. Uzes is a short, stroll through shaded streets. There seemed to be an event in Uzes every day, the day markets are very busy but great for fresh produce, and the night market was great for gifts. We visited Nimes, Pont du Gard and Arles, and enjoyed them all for different reasons. Be aware that if you go anywhere in august the traffic near the larger towns is pretty bad, but worth it! We took the advice in the information folder and avoided the Haribo Museum, just went straight to the Boutique, we queued for about 20 minutes but worth it for my 8 year old, wall to wall tubs of sweets! the Intermarche supermarket at Montaren is 5/10 mins drive. Dominique was very friendly & helpful for the entire stay, and came back to us quickly with any queries. This place is perfect for anyone who wants a bit of luxury in the sun where you feel safe and can walk easily into Uzes. We loved sitting on the terrace in the evening with a glass of wine, playing pictionary and star gazing. Thank you for a lovely holiday, we didn't want to leave and we will be back!

My wife and I stayed at L"Ancienne Brasserie for a week this May. We found the apartment spacious, comfortable, light and airy and extremely clean. The location is ideal--only an eight minute walk from the heart of Uzes, the Place aux Herbes, yet quiet and peaceful. Dominque and her husband, Christophe, were professional, warm and helpful hosts. They provided us with a detailed and comprehensive booklet listing not only instructions on how to use appliances, etc. but also tips on restaurants and other services. Christophe even met us at the apartment when we arrived and patiently explained how appliances worked, etc. We would absolutely stay at L"Ancienne Brasserie again. In fact, we plan to! A terrific, restful vacation in a charming house..

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Uzes. The apartment was beautiful and spacious and an easy walk into the town. Dominique was a great help in providing information on the apartment and area. We will definitely be returning. Tips: Les Terroirs for lunch and Ma Cantine for a casual evening meal.
