Sugar Beach 102 Gorgeous Remodeled Home Beachfront Condo Home

The location and condo were great but there are a few things to look out for. Firstly the shower runs cold a lot! Wait for the water to run but may not be more than luke warm. There are few kitchen supplies, would be nice if they replenished. When they say check out at 11, they mean it. I left my purse in the suite to lock the car and it wouldn’t let me in at 11:01! Had to call the property manager

This condo unit was the perfect spot in Maui. I loved the first floor unit, enjoyed just walking straight out to the pool and beach. The beach is beautiful, very clean. We didn't spend a lot of time at the condo, but overall it was perfect.

While you won't see the ocean from the window, you can walk right out of the balcony and be on the beach in 200 steps. The convinience of the ground level was fantastic. I loved being able to walk straight out of the lanai and avoid the elevator/stairs. The condo itself was beautiful, newly renovated. One of the things that I especially appreciated was all the hooks in the hallway to hang jackets and towels on. FANTASTIC! The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was GORGEOUS, and we had no issues with anything! we will be back!

Had we not had an issue with our shower draining (or not, as the case was) we would have had a pleasant stay. We received a text when we were in flight to Maui stating that the housekeeper found the shower draining a "bit" slow and that it would be fixed as soon as possible. We checked in on Monday March 13 and were told a plumber would be out Tuesday after 2 to fix the issue. In the meantime, we are showering in water over our feet which is highly unsanitary but we deal with it. Well, 2pm came and went with no plumber or communication from the property management. Finally, we received a response to our 2nd text Tuesday night stating we would be first on the list Wednesday. This makes 3 days’ worth of showers with water up over the top of our feet. The response from management wasn't one of compassion but of excuses as to why it took so long to get it repaired. This put a real damper on our entire stay with this facility. I would not recommend simply because there was absolutely no customer service. Otherwise, as the title states it was a nice unit with visually appealing grounds and a decent beach within very short walk. They have a nice-looking pool area which we did not use as well as a cool BBQ spot for groups (or individuals) to use.

My husband and I arrived at Sugar Beach on the first full day of our vacation. The accommodations were excellent and the staff at the resort (especially Melissa) were knowledgeable, kind and helpful! Our first floor unit was clean, well organized and comfortable. We ate lunch on the premises (good veggie burger) and bought food at the Foodmaster in Kihei, for breakfasts and snacks. We enjoyed early morning walks on the beach and sunsets in the evening. It was relaxing and a great beginning to our Maui adventure. We highly recommend.

This unit is inside the courtyard right on the corner of the project so has one extra window.
The king bed is nice and comfy, plenty of pillows blankets, etc. All you could ever ask for in the kitchen being a cook it was nice not having to make do. The location with the ocean steps away, perfect for the morning sunrise walk or watching sunset. The centre of town is about 10 minutes away putting this complex just outside the busy part but centrally located on the island. Will be back.

Great location
The property is centrally located since it is on the northern end of South Maui which made a quick drive in either direction to get to the other towns along the shore. We enjoyed the short walk across the lawn to the ocean and appreciated the property amenities including the bar/restaurant and snorkel rental. The condo had at least 4 beach towels, 2 lawn chairs, 1 beach umbrella, 2 rain umbrellas and a small cooler. Our kids shared the pull-out sofa bed and thought it was one of the more comfortable ones they've slept on. Maui was beautiful and we loved out stay at Sugar Beach!

Clean, easy, and comfy.
My family had been traveling between Kauai and Maui and were looking for a few night stay on the beach. The property was very clean and spacious. The bed and pull out were both very comfortable. And the check in process was painless. The rental had everything you would need from beach toys and towels to cooking utensils and on site grills. We would have enjoyed an even longer stay. It was super windy, but this is obviously nothing tied to the listing itself but more to the location of the building. In terms of location on the island, the unit is so centrally located you can get to any area relatively quick and easy. Highly recommend this stay for couples or families. Very family friendly building and fellow renters were welcoming.

Great condo
My husband and I only stayed here 2 nights but the property was clean and very comfortable. Lots of parking. Access to pool and beach front and lots of loungers available. We even saw whales from the beach while was a lovely surprise. The spot is great. Just a little bit of a distance to Lahaina where we ended up spending much of our time. But definitely a reasonable drive. We enjoyed this condo.

My husband and I travel frequently and have stayed in many rentals over the years. This rental unit exceeded our expectations. Immaculate unit, kitchen very orderly & organized with all the necessary kitchen ware & more. Comfortable living room space, bedroom with comfy linens & mattress. Excellent location, property is located on the outskirts of busy central Kihei area, which we really liked, ground unit near pool & beach within a short walking distance, deli on premises was a plus & commuting distance for our visit was perfect. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Maui.

Wonderful experience all around!
We truly enjoyed our time in Kihei, and this condo was lovely. It had everything we needed, including beach chairs and towels, and checking in and out was effortless. The air conditioner worked well, as did all the appliances. It was also incredibly convenient and nice and quiet at night, with a very short walk across the courtyard to the beach. We would love to stay here again (and hope we get to at some point). Thank you so much for such a great experience!

Don’t expect much
We had hoped for early check in, property manager said no. So we waited until 4. When we got in we found a notice that water was shut off until 5pm and would be shut off again at 7am because Of water main repair. At 445 we got an email saying if we wanted to cancel we could get a refund. (We could not cancel, there was no where else to go.) I emailed and asked for a discount. They never responded. Housekeeping was knocking on our door at 1030 (11am checkout). I won’t deal with this management company again.

We had a wonderful stay at this Kihei property. It was exactly what we needed. This was our first time staying in south Maui. We normally stay on the West side when we visit. This condo was in a great location. Not too far from the airport and an easy drive to get to Walmart and Costco when we needed things.The kitchen was fully supplied with everything you need to fix meals. The location of the condo itself on the property was perfect. We really liked being on the ground level. It gave the kids a chance to just run out to the pool or beach. The lanai was wonderful to have open on breezy days. It can get very windy!We'd stay at this condo again!

This was our first time staying in south Maui. We normally stay on the West side when we visit. This condo was in a great location. Not too far from the airport and an easy drive to get to Walmart and Costco when we needed things.
The kitchen was fully supplied with everything you need to fix meals.
The location of the condo itself on the property was perfect. We really liked being on the ground level. It gave the kids a chance to just run out to the pool or beach. The lanai was wonderful to have open on breezy days. It can get very windy!

Great place for those who want a hub to travel Maui
This is a nice little location in many ways. It's on a lovely long beach that is not very busy. You can walk both ways if you love long walks on a beach. It's only about 17 min from Costco and the airport area which is great for those doing their own cooking. It's close to doing the active things like the Road to Hana and the crater and ocean centre and the boat trips for whale watching. We found the condo small but it had everything we needed. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need if you want to cook. We appreciated the beach chairs available as well. Honestly the only negative is the wind! This location is probably the windiest on the whole island and the week we were there it howled. Chairs were blowing over at the pool. Speaking of the pool it's great . We like the shaded area when you have had too much sun. And you can watch whales right from the deck!
