Acerca de este alojamiento vacacional
Next to Portofino, fantastic location

Amazing family vacation at Villa Niasca ( unique spot ).
5.0 / 5.0
Perfect location for a family vacation. We enjoyed opening up the big doors to listen to the waves and walking the short distance to Portofino along to trail for gelato. Giancarla was very responsive and made sure we were comfortable in the house.

Giancarla was a wonderful host and even helped us arrange a really special birthday at the villa with a local private chef. Cannot rave enough about the natural beauty of the location, nestles amping at the trees of the coastline. We found the buses and walking sufficient for exploring Portofino and other local areas. Highly recommend to any family or a group of friends seeking a fun and secluded getaway on the water. Thanks!

We were traveling as a family with three young adults and two grandparents - and this was a fantastic find! The bus is a bit expensive (5 Euros per person/trip) but if you don’t have a car, well worth it. We had two cars and had to search for parking for the second, but I think we just missed that info. The house is gorgeous and totally unique and we had everything we needed. Lots of hikers to Portofino (and it was the off season!) passing by, but I would take the trails instead of the road if you are sure of foot. Thanks for the travel books and advice!

Stayed over Easter. Fantastic location if you like something near to town yet feels a world away. 15 minute walk to Portofino. 40 minute walk to Santa Margherita. Waterfall in the back. Amazing hikes just behind. So quiet though ride in the road. Beds were very comfortable. Great host! We hope to be back.

We all loved staying at Niasca.
The view from our balcony; proximity to Portofino; walking trails; ease of accessing the bus and train. All made for a magical nine nights.
Not to be missed:
A meal at the former monastery nearby
Camogli (as beautiful as Cinque Terre, and much less crowded)
Old Town Genoa
A wine tasting at Caduferra
Dining in Portofino and Santa Margherita

Everything was wonderful, the house was perfect, the views incredible, and Giancarla, the owner, was really nice and accommodating, I would certainly recommend it.

What a lovely home. Directly on the water just steps from Portofino - a dream. We enjoyed our brief stay and would definitely come back. Thank you Giancarla!

We had a perfect stay at this property! Three couples (two with two-year-olds) came together for a reunion weekend, and it could not have been more perfect. Giancarla picked a couple of us up from the train station and took us to the grocery store so we could get stuff for breakfast the next morning which was really helpful, especially as it was pouring rain. Tons of space in the property as well - worked quite well for us.
The location is just wonderful. Perfect views and morning sun in the living space. The beach below is so convenient. It wasn't warm enough to swim, but the toddlers loved to dig in the sand and throw rocks into the water. An easy walk into Portofino via the walking path right above the property. We took our strollers on it and had no problems. It was really nice that we didn't have to walk on the road to get there.
We also walked to Santa Margherita one day which was a really pretty walk along the coast as well.
Would 100% come back in a heartbeat!

We stayed here with extended family for Christmas. The property is just stunning, with a waterfall at the back and the sea in front. It had everything we needed, including a clothes dryer! The home was cold in the evenings in December, but there were plenty of blankets and a space heater. Some trails were closed but we walked into Portofino a few times, and made use of the bus to explore Santa Margherita. We would love to come back at another time of year to hike more. Giancarla was responsive and so generous with her time. I would like to return.

A great base in one of the Mediterranean’s prettiest areas.

Neat area and especially if you like walking. Plus, there is a bus stop close by and we bought a week’s bus pass that allowed us a lot of flexibility. Our party stayed a week which we all felt was a little long for the area and this rental.
The home is really a cool, unique place. Lots of history and we felt that we went back in time, but we must say the living room furniture wasn’t very comfortable for a long stay.
We overall enjoyed ourselves and the area.

We stayed here for a week. Was perfect. Close to Santa Margarita, within walking of Portifino main. Host was a pleasure. Had the arch windows open the entire time we were there. Would sit on the balcony whenever we weren’t running to small surrounding towns. Very cozy

Absolutely beautiful site! Villa was very dirty and musty. Cobwebs, spiders, mold, geckos in the beds… One unmarked parking space inches from the road — no other parking for a half mile in both directions. Road is extremely narrow and very busy.

Best location in Portofino!
This old beach house was such a gem for our family. We traveled in with our young children and our nanny. The beach was not only perfect for swimming for the kids but the ability to get beach chairs in the morning and block some personal space really helped with how crowded it can get (which really was just on Sunday and Friday).
There is a playground on the trails just above the house and an old monestary which is now a B&B that serves lunch.
The walk into Portofino Is easy on walking paths above the roads allowing for even late night walks back which are safe and so lovely.
We actually hiked a lot and this was a huge highlight of our trip. Walk out the front door straight into the paths all over Portofino in any direction.
Couldn’t have been better.
We ran the dehumidifiers provided to offset the humidity as we left the house open most days bc the breeze was so good.
We will be back!

A room with a breathtaking view ....
Our charming old world villa was in a perfect location between Portofino and Santa Margherita. This allowed us to easily shop, take great walks on the trails and take the bus to either town. 3 bedrooms and bathrooms plus a spacious great room living and kitchen area plus balcony allowed our group to live quite well. We loved the beach and cove area directly below this unique home. Kayaking and swimming was icing on the cake! Grocery shopping in Santa Margherita made it easy to find all our needs and cook. The restaurants were plentiful as well. Thank you for providing your wonderful home and views that can’t be beat! Terrific stay for all of us!

A gem on the Ligurian coast .. hiking .. beach .. sea
This is a very special and quirky property located on the floor above the boathouse. Very spacious with large bedrooms and bathrooms a beautiful view .. if you like to hike in the mountains there are lots of trails straight from the house .. with a parking space you can explore the area by car or there is a bus stop right outside to get to Portofino for a night of glamour or a low key night out in Santa Margherita..
Right on the beach you can enjoy the day in the beautiful sea .. or take a sea kayak ..
Giancarla and her sister were lovely .. very helpful - on what was on in the area .. thank you for a wonderful stay .. we hope to come back ..

Paradise in the Portofino Nature Park
We stayed in a flat within the solitary home on the water in Niasca. What a surreal and wonderful experience! From the moment I contacted Giancarla she was the most gracious of hostesses, helping us to make the best of our time in Portofino, including advising us about where to get our COVID tests prior to our departure. Her family home is incredibly beautiful and gave us easy access to hiking, biking, boating, wining and dining in the area. 1 week was clearly not enough. We really miss the sound of the gentle waves lapping the beach beneath us and the fabulously beautiful sunrises from our balcony. A month’s stay in the future might be necessary! Loved, loved, loved Giancarla and her gorgeous home. What a find.

When we entered the living room of where we would be staying for the next two weeks we were speechless. I have never stayed in such an amazing, unique house. The arched ceilings with beautifully painted walls, the gorgeous view from the enormous doors leading onto a balcony overlooking the beach. The sheer size of the room was astonishing! We knew we had chosen well!We used the beautiful footpaths running behind the house into Portofino and Parragi on a daily basis. The house was perfect for exploring the Cinque Terra which we did twice along with taking boat trips along the coast to visit the Abbazia Di San Fruttuso and the Villa Durazzo in Rapallo.Outdoor Portofino was great to have below us and we took out both kayaks and paddle boards. Early morning swims into the rising sun were spectacular and having the beach to ourselves in the late evening was so special. The beach especially at the weekend does sometimes get crowded but for us a few hours each day was all we needed then we were eager to go exploring the region! The beds were comfortable and as there was only two of us we had ample space! The kitchen was well equipped and we had dinner on the balcony many times. Why wouldn't you, it was the best table in town! Giancarla is such a lovely lady and we will absolutely be returning for another fantastic holiday. If you want five star luxury this is not for you but if you want to stay somewhere that is incredibly special and will make lasting memories this is your place!

Amazing...What a view, what a charming house
I have found everything that I was craving for.
- Peaceful as it sits next to the natural park and alone house with small public beach in front
- Cosy as it is an old house with charming history. Beautiful paintings on the walls of the living room
- A great combo of sea and green
Some details:
The beach is public so better to put your sunbeds (the house has 3 sunbeds and some seats that are stored in the boat rental place (Outdoor) early in the morning 08:30 to make sure you have a spot
The house is on the road but do not worry about the noise as house is under the road so there is no car noise
The living room and kitchen are is very spacious. We were 4 adults and 4 kids but had no space issue
The rooms are humid as the building is very old but they had air fresheners to reduce the humidity
Cannot recommend enough. For sure we will back....

This is a quaint, classic place to stay. Access to Portofino via walking trail and bus stop nearby give you lots of options for activity and dining. Also shorter walking distance to Paraggi, where the restaurants are Very Very Good. (The Eight is stellar). The hiking trail to abbazia di san fruttuoso starts nearby and is a great day hike. Giancarla is helpful and responsive.

This idyllically located holiday home offered something for everyone in our party. The sunbathers, the sun-shy, the active and the restful. We had a private view on to one of the loveliest coves on the Ligurian coast. Within easy walking distance of Portofino and Santa Margheurita de Ligure, where there are lots of bars and restaurants serving great (if pricey) food and drinks. Great walks and hikes, with water sports on offer literally downstairs. The house offers flexible accommodation and reminded us of times gone by. Our host was lovely and we hope to go back one day.

Extremely Pleased with our Experience
Our experience with VRBO was very positive. Ms. Serra was prompt and helpful online and in person. We found the flat at Niasca roomy, charming and well-maintained. The location was quiet despite being close to the main road. The view of the water and access to the beach makes this place very special. We certainly hope to vacation at Niasca again.

Portofino dream
Giancarla’s Niasca property is a gem. Situated on a beautiful little bay, it is a close walk to Portofino and near an 82 bus stop, it is the perfect base to explore the Italian Riveria. The property is stunning and such a unique location literally on top of the bay. Giancarla is a fantastic host and very helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend Giancarla’s Niasca!!

Lovely home overlooking beautiful Mediterranean
Spent 36 days here starting mid May thru end of June. Giancarla was a great help getting us set up in the house. She drove us into Santa Margherita Ligure to grocery shop. She had laminated information sheets with key information about the house and surrounding area. She had brochures on local attractions, restaurants and time tables for busses and ferries. The buss stop was convenient and took us around the area and to the train station. Outdoor Portofino was located on the beach below us with all types of water equipment. At the end of our stay, Outdoor Portofino gave us a nice discount on the items we rented.
We were very pleases with the house. The view from the balcony was awesome and the 3 bedrooms/3 bathrooms was perfect for our children and grandchildren. We prepared breakfast and multiple dinners in the kitchen. We loved the old world interior especially the original paintings on the walls.
To us it was a wonderful home and location.

Fabulous huge living room with balcony overlooking own beach.
The house is well equipped and clean with generous rooms the centre piece being a huge living room combining kitchen, dining area and lounge with a balcony overlooking the beach and a lovely view over the harbour. Portofino and another small beach resort are a short 10-15 minute walk away.

Wonderful time in Niasca!
A perfect location for us. Half way between Portofino harbor and Santa Margherita Ligure. A short walk to either one. Giancarla was there to meet us and was quickly available for our questions via text during the week. There were 4 of us. The accommodations were spacious and comfortable. If you are looking for a quite, relaxing, comfortable location close to the action, this is the place.

Wonderful week at Niasca
Our family group of six enjoyed a lovely stay at Niasca for the first week of September. The house is comfortable and well-equipped - perfectly situated above the beach and sea. Private parking by the house was a big plus. The large living and dining room with its gorgeous sea view was a great space for lounging, dining and many games of cards. Renting kayaks and paddle boards was so easy from Outdoor Portofino beneath us. A short walk through the woods took us to Portofino or Paraggi or an easy bus to Santa Margherita.

Beautiful & Enchanting
This was our second stay in this beautiful home. You will find nothing like it anywhere. The home, spacious and beautiful, holds a sense of history and yet lives very modern. They have struck the perfect combination. Ample beautiful space and light, and unlike any property you can find, its on the beach! Giancarla is an amazing host and listed so many great things to do and helped us to live more like locals than tourists. She helped us twice in different situations with lost luggage and getting to stunning restaurant on the mountain. She is a very kind, generous and attentive. Very wonderful and we will come again!
