This property is so well kept and so cute and comfortable. And talk about the perfect location!! It's in the middle of the cutest town with shopping and excellent restaurants not to mention the gorgeous beach behind us. And how wonderful to be able to take our two little dogs!! Cute cottage, 2nd time staying there as the location is perfect, however the property needs a little TLC. Did not sit on the patio as the shrubs are overgrown and the small trellis for privacy is full of water and attracts bugs. Just a little attention to detail inside and out would make this property amazing!

The red shutter cottage was an ideal place for us to stay for 4 nights in Sutton Bay. It has an ideal location just steps from restaurants, shops and a park which made everything easily accessible. The cottage is a very cute and cheery place that was clean, quiet and filled with all mentioned amenities. Communication with management was easy and they checked in with us to see that our stay was comfortable. Without reservation I highly recommend this VRBO location .

It was difficult getting the lock box open but quite easy to get the key back and the box locked when I left. The almost white carpet on the entire floor probably needs rethinking. Or there should be large mats in the kitchen area. I was extra careful because I noted there was no carpet spot cleaner under the sink. There is a large throw rug in the living room, but it has a large raised wrinkle in the center that is a tripping hazard. I would have smoothed it out, but the bed and sofa both rested on that rug and couldn't lift either. The amenities in the description says that the unit has wifi, but that's not quite true. Either point out clearly that internet access isn't always available or boost whatever access you have now. You do tell the truth in the info you sent to me 2 days before going up north, but that was a little too late. Lots of other residents near the cottage have wifi, so it is do-able. Other than that, my stay was great. My dog felt immediately comfortable and did not find any places in the cottage where other dogs may have had left their mark. She, of course, was perfect, but she has never had an accident since the first week I got her 5 years ago. The newly opened dog park was nice, as was access to the beach. She was a rock star when we walked past the shops down the street. Lots of people asked to pet her. And we were able to go into quite a few shops where she got even more attention. So, darling cottage and very pleasant town.

The Coral Shutter Cottage is perfect for a weekend get a way! The accommodations are just as you see the pics on line, right in town to walk to restaurants & shops, the beach is right behind it so can walk to as well. There is a lovely winery right across the street, the others are a short drive. We enJOY’d our time in Suttons Bay!!

Needs to be updated especially carpet should be replaced with vinyl flooring.especially since pet friendly would be more appealing instead of carpet with spots on it & throw rug in kitchen area that is easy to trip on & fall.It wouldn't" take much to update.

Location was in great proximity to many area attractions. Parking was convenient in front to easily unload. Close to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked, but I chose to bring my own coffee pot, glasses and plates, dish towel, etc. The bathroom was clean except for the toilet. Bed was comfortable. When I arrived I easily obtained the key from the lock box (code provided) However, I found the sliding patio door unlocked when I entered. The condition of the cottage was okay. Other reviews mentioned the carpeting was stained, so I expected the same. The area rug was curled up and was a hazard to walk around. The ceiling lighting was very dim. I kept the curtains closed as it was on a very busy street. (loud outdoor bar nextdoor) The screens were separated from frame, allowing mosquitos inside. It was cool enough to shut off the A/C, but due to the screen damage, I could not keep windows open. One window didn't have a screen. The departure day(Monday) was trash pick up day. I was called on Sunday while I was traveling around & reminded to take the trash bin to the curb. I notified the management when I returned there was no trash bin (and about the screens) Overall, it was okay, but could benefit from attention to above mentioned issues.

No mow for May ended on May 31. We arrived on June 4 to a knee high grass all around rental. Looked awful. Screens did not fit the windows, letting in bugs. No screen on sliding door to patio. they finally mowed just before we left. Not happy about the appearance, looked runned down. I had to walk through the high grass, weeds to get the garbage can from the street behind on Monday after garbage was picked up.

Thermostat was not working too cold.
The bed was most uncomfortable and soft . We both then slept on the sofa bed which was not big enough. We left early because I did not want to stay another night. We will not return to stay there ever. Sweet Cherry was neither🤔

Location is easily the best part of this property. Setup as a studio, great for a couple get away, likely not a family with kids.
Only confusing part was controlling the temp inside, there are 2 remotes and a wall thermostat. Only one of the remotes changes the temp in the studio, the other remote and wall thermostat are powered up, but don’t do anything..
You can walk to everything in Suttons Bay. Out the back door, you can be to the water in 2 minutes.

It snowed the entire time we were there but it didn't matter. We were cozy and warm, exploring the restaurants, bookstore, artisan shops or just sitting in the cottage reading. It was lovely.

It was a beautiful, small cottage that was so close to restaurants and the beach. It had the basics of what we needed for our short stay. It was cold in the home when we got there, but Michigan in January, it happens. A drawer in the dresser was broken when we got in, but we didn’t use the dresser and we couldn’t connect to the internet, but we used our own hotspot. I would definitely stay again. My husband also agrees.

The home was as described. Great location right on Main Street, and you could see some of the Bay out the back windows. Walk to any of the restaurants or shops in town. The wall mounted heater remote was a bit of a challenge to figure out, but we were never left in the cold. Very clean, plenty of towels, etc. Relaxing, convenient, and worth the drive.

The restaurant across the street was delicious!The trees around the cottage are much larger than the picture and the cottage is set back from the road. It is difficult to find in the dark.
