This cabin is beautiful. Situated on a quiet hillside overlooking a pond. It's cozy, comfortable and well equipped. The fireplace was wonderful on cool nights. Access is easy and communicating with the owners was fast and easy

2nd stay at this property, location is so great. We had a scary moment driving in during active snow fall at night and freezing Temps but we got out and put on snow chains and made it in. We were really impressed with how quickly the neighborhood roads were treated the next day and were able to drive out and make it ski lift time without a problem. I can't say enough about the house. The fire place is fantastic and there is everything you need including ample firewood supply. We cooked in several meals and had everything we needed. You can't go wrong at the Big Chill! Our kids are already asking to go back and I'm sure we will!

We've been going to Seven Devils/Banner Elk for over 20 years. As our kids grew up and married it was clear we needed bigger place with personal accommodations. This places foots the bill perfectly.
EVERYTHING you need. Private bedrooms, bathrooms and a large game room. Fire pit for cooler evenings was a bit hit. Our second stay at the Big Chill. Won't be our last. Brady always responsive to questions or needs. If you want a great place to enjoy nature and be with family...look no further.

Stayed here for the second time. Couldn't wait to get up here. Weather was perfect, neighborhood is quiet. Everything we needed was there. I loved the showers and whirlpool tub. I will be back. If I had a place in the mountains, it would be just like this.

This cabin is absolutely beautiful--the cabin itself and location. Well cared for and well stocked. We especially enjoyed the campfire ring and a huge supply of firewood. We were 8 adults, ranging in age from 19 to 72, and everyone had a great time. Highly recommend.

The cabin was well stocked. As we were checking in, we had a little trouble with the lock. Didn’t have to call anyone. Owner saw it on door camera and immediately told us what to do. Only hiccup in entire stay, We aren’t big on the mountains but agreed we wouldn’t mind staying in the Big Chill” cabin again!

First I have to say this was hands down the cleanest and best maintained property we have ever rented.
Second, it was perfect for our family as we were spending the weekend with my parents who are in their late 70’s/Early 80’s. With no steps from driveway into the house and a master on the main floor, it was just right. The rest of the house was great with bathrooms/bedrooms on each floor, so there was plenty of privacy for ask of us.
As graduates of ASU, we’ve rented all around the Boone area and this is definitely one of our favorites. Seven Devils is the perfect location. We will definitely be staying here again.

Big Chill
The cabin was very well stocked. The decks were very nice, and the six of us spent a lot of time out there, including enjoying the hummingbirds and the other birds (for whom the owner left us some bird seed). Rainy or sunny, it was great. Kids enjoyed fishing in the pond; everyone enjoyed the firepit for s'mores. The location is great, although our family with the van may have had some issues with the hills and switchbacks and brakes after some days. No worries; we would all do it again. Owner was quick to respond to any situation. Very enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed our quick stay here. Very quiet and safe area. Was slightly concerned about no AC (Not really sure why since it wasn't even summer), but we had absolutely no issues. Cabin was very comfortable.

Christmas in the mountains
My grown children live in FL and GA and I live in VA. Every year we meet somewhere in the mountains for either Christmas or Thanksgiving (hoping for snow). This year we chose Seven Devils. When we arrived Dec 20, Brady and his wife had decorated the entire cabin, to include a 7’ tree on the loft. Pictures don’t do this property justice. We had no snow but the week long stay was great.

The Big Chill
I booked the property with the plan being to snow tube at Hawksnest. A few days before, I could see that the record heat wave is as going to crush that idea, but the cabin more than made up for any disappointment! It was HUGE, super clean, festive decorations, and better stocked than anywhere we’ve ever stayed before. I hope to take my family (wife and 4 grown children) back next winter!

They had it all...beautiful view, quiet mountain neighborhood, bathroom supplies, and everything needed to cook! The location is perfect as well! We look forward to possible future stays here!
