¡La cabaña del capitán goza de una ubicación realmente maravillosa en Davidson Head con vista al istmo que lo conecta con la isla de San Juan y el Roche Harbor Resort! Desde este lugar puede visitar la playa del Istmo, un lugar popular para relajarse y ver pasar los barcos mientras observa la isla de Vancouver a lo lejos.
Las opciones recreativas son infinitas. Todo, desde avistamiento de ballenas Orca, kayak, ciclismo, senderismo y cenas en el Resort, que está a solo un agradable paseo por una encantadora carretera rural. El Resort incluso tiene una tienda de abarrotes completamente abastecida para sus necesidades de compras. Una de nuestras actividades favoritas es caminar por los muelles de Marina en el Resort, para ver cientos de hermosos yates.
Los grandes ventanales de la sala de estar de la cabaña aportan la luz y la vista independientemente de la temporada. Si hace frío, la acogedora sala de estar tiene una estufa de propano para mantenerlo caliente. Justo afuera hay una gran terraza para disfrutar de su cóctel nocturno o una copa de vino durante las noches de verano. ¡Así es como se debe vivir la vida!
De vuelta al interior, encontrarás una cocina completa y un comedor excelentemente equipados para crear un poco de tu cocina favorita. También hay un baño excelente y moderno con ducha de azulejos. El dormitorio ofrece una cama queen extremadamente cómoda y un televisor montado en la pared si puede encontrar algún momento para ver algo. El aire libre es de lo que se trata esta casa y la isla de San Juan. Hay mucho más, pero descubrirlo todo será el desafío de sus vacaciones en esta maravillosa propiedad para dos.

The Captain’s Cottage is a delight! Beautifully built, terrific location and spotless. Our favorite rental ever on the island.

It is a great location in a quiet area, close to Roche Harbor. The house is very comfortable and a great view.
A couple of non-complaint observations:
The top of the foot board on the bed, sticks out a little way beyond the bed frame so there was a short learning curve on how to avoid it when going back to bed in the dark. ;o)
Handles on the kitchen cabinets and drawers would be helpful.

This house was clean, nicely decorated, comfortable and in a great location! It had a view of the neighborhood isthmus, and we enjoyed that beach every night at happy hour!
The cabin is located closer to Roche Harbor than Friday Harbor, and for us, this was a very good thing! Away from the hustle-bustle of the more touristy area. Close to Westcott shellfish company, an Oyster farm that we went to every day! Would highly recommend this VRBO!

My wife and I celebrated our 1-year anniversary here - and we loved it. San Juan Island in itself is fantastic, but our stay was even further enhanced by staying at this property - a perfect getaway for 2. Quiet, modern but quaint, beautiful views, tucked away near a few real gems on the Island. We loved it!

If you’re looking for a quiet spot near Roche Harbor that accommodates 2 people comfortably, this is an excellent choice. Great shower, great bed, comfy couch and decent size kitchen. Highly recommend.

This is an amazing cottage in a great neighborhood. Everything was very clean, extremely comfortable and wonderfully equipped. We walked down to the water to watch the sunsets and even saw a fox cross the road and six deer in the yard. We'll definitely be back.

The property was peaceful with a water view to enjoy your morning coffee. It's also a great neighborhood for walking. The bed was very comfortable and the furnishings and bedding were high quality. We loved our little weekend trip!

We could not have asked for a more perfect location to stay in. It was secluded enough and was perfect for the two of us. The interior was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. It was so close to Roche harbor, which was nice, and was only a 20 min drive to Friday harbor. Every evening, we would drive over to Lime Kiln state park which quickly became our favorite spot for the vacation. Overall, it was perfect and I would book this location again in a heart beat!

The little one bedroom cabin is well thought out and outfitted tastefully with everything it occurred to us we might want. The remote location was just what we were looking for. There was a hiccup with the key code to get into the cabin, but they had it handled for us within five minutes when we called. My only real hesitation in coming back would be the 10 am check out time. It’s earlier than the norm, and it really ate into the feeling of a leisurely vacation spot.

This place is great and the photos do not do it justice. The interior is very nice, it has a cozy feel, and it is well stocked. The host communication was also excellent.

This cottage was awesome!!! So clean and had all the amenities needed! One of the nicest places we’ve stayed! The view is awesome and loved all the sounds of nature! If you want relaxation and beauty, this is it! We will be back! What a peaceful, beautiful setting!

Fine accommodations
Well appointed cottage, clean, new feel to the facility, all the necessary utensils, household tools, etc. Some difficulty in locating the driveway in the dark at 10:30 pm after an afternoon drive and a weary wait for an 8:40 ferry that was pretty late. But entering the lovely space was very comforting and the fireplace started right up once we discovered the remote.
The setting from the front window in the morning light was picturesque as we sat facing the windows drinking our morning coffee. Thank you.

Beautiful, peaceful, relaxing stay within walking distance of Roche Harbor
My spouse and I spent the weekend celebrating our 20th anniversary on San Juan Island and this was the perfect little hideaway. It is a beautiful, peaceful, comfortable, well appointed place. We enjoyed coffee each morning on the back deck looking out over the water and watching bald eagles forage for food. We took the foot trail down to Roche to forage for food ourselves and walk the dock. Nothing is very far away on San Juan Island, so we also spent time checking out Westcott Oyster House, the lavender farm, South Beach, the two historic military camps, Lime Kiln park and lighthouse and much more. Great spot, highly recommended!

We loved our stay at this cute, clean and well appointed cottage. We were pleased with the proximity to RH (less than a mile walk) . We used it as a launching pad for kayaking around the peaceful bay just across the road from property. We sat out on the balcony in the evening and ate dinner. From our deck we watched bald eagles soar overhead, seals frolic in the bay, and a raven family bantering in the trees above. It was such a peaceful and relaxing getaway. We will definitely be back!
